so, uh... nobody liked the crossfire, basically."It's chrysler's tt"..."what an ugly ass"..."Oh, I didn't know there even was a manual version? hey, can you get a manual on the srt6? no? fuck it then"..."the boxster makes it look like a joke"... "that painted plastic is a joke in a car that costs this much"..."why on earth wouldn't you just buy a 'vette?"..."it's like an SLK but without the nifty folding roof.... which was basically the only reason to buy an SLK over a TT or boxster or z3 or s2000...."Well, I don't want to sweat those arguments. an srt6 at $46k wasn't that appealing, regardless of it being a mercedes in the chrysler showroom to an even greater extent than the 300c.so... if they made it, and they couldn't sell 'em...then... yes... then: it's a goddamn CROSS- FIRE SALE! how does a 330 hp supercharged 3000 3161 lb coupe with almost zero mileage on it for low 20's grab you? No, they never made a manual srt6 as far as I'm aware. btw, the crossfire srt6 is underrated to keep from drawing excess comparisons to the slk32. That sucker's got the full 354 in there. Evosport has a reflash and pulley kit that boosts the srt6 to 400 hp for ~$3k.check it on ebay: (all 2005 srt6s)11k miles, buy it now price is $23500http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-SRT-6-ONLY-11K-MILES-NAVIGATION-INFINITY-SIDE-AIRBAG_W0QQitemZ140125594113QQihZ004QQcategoryZ80734QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem400 miles, 8 hours to go, @ $20,500http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-Chrysler-Crossfire-SRT-6-with-only-400-miles_W0QQitemZ320123423448QQihZ011QQcategoryZ80734QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem5206 miles, starting bid at 20k, buy it now is $24,800http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-CHRYSLER-CROSSFIRE-SRT6_W0QQitemZ280122135057QQihZ018QQcategoryZ80734QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem40 miles, $25,795 buy it nowhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-CHRYSLER-CROSSFIRE-SRT-6_W0QQitemZ140126243723QQihZ004QQcategoryZ80734QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemkbb.com says an srt6 coupe with 12k miles in excellent condition is worth 29450[Edited on June 7, 2007 at 5:02 AM. AWESOME cars to drive, with the only bad part being no manual. Taking one of these on the open track was tons of fun last year.

the 3.2 n/a models are offered with a 6 speed. the one i drove didn't win any acceleration contests, but was still a VERY fun car to drive.

Good luck on being less than 6ft to drive itI couldn't sit in the car.

i'm 6'1" and fit comfortabley. it was a little tight, but not any worse than most 2 seaters. i've been in worse.

i always liked the Crossfire looks-wisebut i could still get more performance bang-for-the-buck with a purely performance oriented car, rather than something like a Crossfire in the performance-luxury segment (tried it with the 330ci, and while I appreciated it for being a fantastic car, I just crave the hard-edged, balls-out performance cars).and i'm not driving a car with an automatic.but if that car IS your thing, that does sound like a lot of car for the money.

lol i knew what this was just by the topic title......i had seen them when i was looking at s2000's.......decided on the s2000 instead, chrysler gives off an old guy image.blind spots galore in that carthe back window is a jokewould never consider driving it in traffic to work or anything

i fit at 6'1 but would probably hit my head on bumps...my brother at 6'4 was way too tall. poorly designed...could have added 2-3 inches behind the seats to slide back further/recline and fit taller people[Edited on June 7, 2007 at 1:26 PM. Reason : .]

theyre not bad cars. I have a friend whos a pretty darn serious national autocrosser and he and his codriver just bought one to race. proper Aarm suspension, decent weight, decent power, can fit big ass tires

i dunno about weight, i thought they were a little on the heavy side for a coupe/roadster? 3200-3300 iirc, but i'm not positive. the nice chassis makes up for a few extra pounds though.
6/7/2007 2:13:48 PM
as far as looks go, it is one of the best looking cars there is.turns a lot more heads than the TT, SLK, S2000, etc.
6/7/2007 2:31:42 PM
Dont' forget, that if you want to take it to a track typically you have to wear a helmet which adds 2inches. Make sure you have that kind of headroom or you'll be driving with your head at an angle.
6/7/2007 4:01:36 PM
good point. do the seats have enough room to the floorpans you could cut/drop the brackets any? i can't remember from the one i drove.
6/7/2007 7:46:35 PM
Good looking and driving car. However, the one I drove didn't have a tilt steering wheel and my knees were all up in the wheel. With a tilt wheel (and/or adjustable pedals) it would have been a very nice fit (though I'm only 5'10"...)
