escp. if they buy out his recently inked extension -- is that a possibility? or is it on Billy's dime like w/ the WVU coach?
5/31/2007 4:11:35 PM
I don't think they finalized the extension.....I remember he said earlier in the week that he was waiting for the administration to finish. If that's the case and they didn't do their part, UF fans aren't going to be too happy...Here's the quote from an AP story that ran on May 23...

the article clearly says he hasn't signed

Like the last Gator coach to go pro (Ole ball coach). He'll be back in college in a few years

^ let's not forget what happened to his mentor

Yeah, I think Donovan's NBA experience will be similar to Pitino's (although the Magic have some talent, especially Howard). This is going to be rough on UF, though. They might do well over the next couple of years if they keep the recruits they have coming in, but it's going to be hard to replace a guy like that.[Edited on May 31, 2007 at 9:07 PM. Reason : ]

yeah I am sure Kentucky fans are rejoicing over this, as if they didn't drool over the idea of him becoming their coach.
