Anybody know where to get a device that will mount my iPod using the cig lighter (so it will charge), and play audio using the 3.5mm jack?? I do not want the device broadcasting over the radio. I use the RCAs on my headunit to play audio from the iPod (so I can watch video at the same time).

my thoughts are to get an adaptor that broadcasts the audio and hope that it will also play audio through the 3.5mm jack simultaneously. I can then neatly tuck the RCA cable away. The other alternative would be to figure the pin-outs and remove the capability of playing audio through the FM adaptor.

any suggestions?

I don't think you'll find a single device that will do both of those for you. But it sounds like you were planning on using a rca jack to headphone jack cable so go ahead and do that and then buy a cig lighter charger.

yea, thats what im thinkin. ebay has cheap iPod/cell phone holders. i'll probably use that along with a separate charger and RCA cable
