I'm selling my Raleigh Ram 3.0. It has been a great bike, originally retailing over $1200. I bought it new here in Raleigh, and rode it locally. It has a few upgrades (rear shock, bash guard). You can pick from 2 sets of pedals. The bike doesn't need anything, and has been maintained. Anyway, there are no dents or cracks or anything like that on this bike, only a few minor scratches on the paint. Serious inquiries only please. Located in Cary. It's a medium sized frame at 18 inches.Ahmet

what's the mileage on the frame and wheels?
5/29/2007 3:18:22 PM
They're the orig. wheels, so the frame and the wheels all have around 300-350 miles, I'm guessing... It's in great shape, and like new in many ways.Ahmet

The frame doesn't really wear out, unless it's abused (thin wall aluminum, can only put it through so many stress cycles). The rest of the moving parts will wear to a degree ofcourse, but not by that much if taken care of. The gears will wear in, chain can stretch, shocks can leak, etc. Not to mention most of that stuff has been upgraded on this bike, but just like any other machine, if you shift before you have to really hammer on it for example, you really can avoid quite a bit of extra wear. Same with if you keep the shifting mechanisms well lubricated and in tune...I'm around 170lbs, and other than log crossings and 2-4feet jumps, I don't do anything too crazy, so the bike really is in "like new" condition. I wanted disc brakes because I didn't want brakes that were susceptible to the trueness of the wheels (well, that + disc's don't get wet as easily or degrade as much when they do, not to mention ease of removing the front wheel for transport). So, the rims being out of round would not really affect this bike much, however they're about as straight as a brand new wheel anyway.Ahmet

I wasn't able to show him the bike yesterday due to scheduling conflicts, and he ended up buying a new bike instead.I can deal a bit on this, I have a trip to Europe coming up, and could use the extra money...Ahmet

7/15/2007 8:56:44 PM
I have a Raleigh M80 I could sell for around $200 if you want a cheaper bike. It's a great hard tail. 05 I believe. The Ram 3.0 I won't go below $400, was hoping to get around $450...Ahmet
7/15/2007 8:58:46 PM
I'm interested in the M80, is it disk also? frame size 18" also or bigger? Whats the starting price for the M80?
7/15/2007 10:16:54 PM
The M80 is not a disk, it's also an 18. I'd take $230, or some close offer to that. Ahmet

125 on the m80
8/14/2007 11:50:05 AM
The Ram 3.0 I have a deposit on. The M80 is missing a seat post (but I have the seat). I'd take $125 for it as is. You can generally grab a seat post for free or $10ish used from a bike shop or a message board.Ahmet

How long is the "deposit" good for?
8/17/2007 9:22:28 AM
I don't know, guy gave it to me over 2 weeks ago. If you want to give me $450 or more, and have cash, I guess I can sell it to you instead.Ahmet
