I drive a 93 Camry. So awhile ago, I was pissed off and slammed the driver's-side door as hard as I could. After this, the stereo stopped working for FM transmissions. I can hear AM just fine, but you can barely hear the FM stations, and certainly can't listen to them.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be, and where I should take the car to get it fixed, and how much that will cost? Any advice would be most appreciated.

You could try pulling the radio out and seeing if you jarred the connection to the antenna lose.

This reminds me about the time two antennas got married. I heard the wedding sucked but the reception was great.

^^^ thx I will try removing the radio and examining the connection. That way I can break it altogether, and when I take it in to get it fixed, I can just say "Install a new radio, please."

It's pretty hard to break an antenna cable. They're really thick and rigid, and the most that would happen when you pulled the radio out, unless you put your foot up on the dash for leverage and YANK it like a motherfucker, is that it would disconnect.

These techs you are going to go to probably aren't going to do anything special besides see if you unplugged it, see if the antenna cable is still intact, then offer to replace the radio for you for $assholes. There's no dark art or magic to fixing a radio.
