I need to get a gift certificate for a past wedding and for my roommate's birthday. I would like to get them to somewhere creative instead of the typical target/mall gift certificate.

My buddy who got married likes to cook (especially grill), so I was thinking about something related to that.

My roommate likes to paint.

Any suggestions for cool gift certificates? Web sites certificates are good too.

There is a grilling store in Crossroads...I can't remember the name of it...BBQ Galore or something maybe! I believe they have gift cards! Also for the person who likes to paint...is it crafty painting or like painting a room in the house? If it is crafty painting you could get them a GC to Dick Blick's which I think has an actual store front in Cameron Village but if not they have tons of stuff online and if Dick Blick's isn't in CV than there is another upscale crafty/artsy store in CV that gives GC I hope that helps

Dick Blicks was perfect, but it'd be great if I could get one for something local. Do you know where in Cameron Village the art store is located or what the name is?

Here's a listing of the art stores in cameron village: http://www.shopsofcameronvillage.com/stores.cfm

^Nothing is ringing a bell from reading through the stores on that listing. It was on Peace...so when you turned on Oberlin to get there from NCSU that light before you get to the Harris Teeter...it was on the road which I think is Peace but I think the name changes somewhere...been awhile since I have been down that way. But on the same side as the library and it was like in the middle of the strip! There is another great cool art supply store in Raleigh...let me see if I can find it. If not I can find out the name for sure for you tomorrow Ok...let me go search Glad I could help a lil

This place is supposed to be like the local place to get your art supplies! I used to work for AC Moore and we used to send people here when we didn't have something or knew they could get better quality over there for a specific project.

Also if you don't like this place maybe a place that they could make their own pottery and then have it fired...that would be creative and involved a stain/paint
