i got this camera memory stick that im trying to get pics from into my computer.
but when i attempt to do so, it gives me a "cannot copy DSCF***, the parameter is incorrect"
does the same thing if i even try to delete the file(s)
what do you think the problem is, how can i fix it?

you often have to use the software that came with the camera...

like the camera saves them to the stick in some proprietary format thus needs the installed software to automagically turn them into jpg's or whatever

I've never seen that on a sony.

sometimes they're hidden in the memory card's directory structure, but i've never seen them in a "wierd" format.

unless she's taking pictures in RAW format. lol

just invest 10 bucks into a multi-card reader and make sure it supports sony type cards (memory stick, duo's, etc.) so you won't have to buy another one. Those are pretty much plug and play, then put the card into the reader, then copy & paste, you're all set, unless your card is corrupted and not usable. Then your SOL.
