Do they just rank the engines based on performance? or reliability also included?

More like engineering.notice no ohv motors.and the ford 4.6 doesn't have a very good hp/liter
5/18/2007 11:38:32 AM
^ZING.I thought it was just alphabetically by parent corporation brand name per continent excluding the US.

the put the ford 4.6 SOHC on there ????I like ford and all, but Im going to have to disagree on this one.
5/19/2007 1:18:02 PM
WHAT ABOUT THE VEEETEK
5/19/2007 11:03:54 PM
^^The three valve version used in the 05+ stang is nice. The older 4.6 SOHC are underpowered.
5/20/2007 3:48:04 PM
The SOHC 4.6 will run forever if you don't abuse it, but it's not exactly a powerhouse (at least not the 2V as stated). Now the DOHC 4.6...that's a totally different animal...
5/21/2007 10:34:59 AM
Even the DOHC 4.6 (as installed in Mustang Cobras from 1996-2001) is not particularly impressive in NA form.

no way should the mazda 2.3 turbo be on there. the damn thing falls flat on its face with 1500 rpm left before redline. [Edited on May 21, 2007 at 10:50 AM. Reason : ]
