I am going underway for a longer than average deployment soon, and seeing as how it's a sub, there is not much to do and very little space to stow things. Anyways, I'd like to get at least a couple seasons of something, but I don't know what to get. As of now I have seen every episode of the following: Friends, Survivor, Prison Break, Lost, and Desperate Housewives (yeah my wife has me trained.) I am a big fan of comedy and have watched and like The King of Queens and Scrubs before, but I'm not a religious follower by any means. So based on the above stuff, is there any shows out there that you think might be something I'd like? Thanks in advance.

Do you want shows are finished so that you can see the whole run?

I would highly recommend Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, Sports Night, and the first four seasons of The West Wing.

The whole run would be good, but if there's a good show out there I don't mind being a new addict. I had to watch the whole Season 1 of Lost in like 2 weeks, but I really got hooked. My friends have the BSG seasons.... the other I will definitely consider. Thx for the responses.

Arrested Development. Arrested Development. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.Not only is it hilarious, but once you watch them all, you can go back to the beginning and there will be a whole set of jokes that you didn't understand the first time through.

Thanks rwoody, and thanks to everyone who provided suggestions.I am definitely gonna pick up Arrested Development. How many seasons are there? I think 24 sounds like something I would like too.
5/13/2007 2:33:04 AM
AD is three seasons, though it's really only a little more than two, because Fox cut the second season episode order down to 18 (one of the second season episodes is about that) and they didn't pick up the back nine of the third season, so it's only 13 episodes. Amazon has all three packaged together for $55...dunno if you can find it cheaper around here or not.I love Freaks & Geeks to death, but it's only 18 episodes and when you run out you're going to be pissed, so I'd avoid it for now. ]

Rome, Arrested Development, Seinfeld(if you haven't already been inundated by it), Nip/TuckOh, and I bet the sub boys would really like Rescue Me. It's very much a guy's show.
