Couldn't bttt the old one, but if you're not watching/DVRing this show on Monday nights, you need to be.One of the best sitcoms on, if not the best.

wrong!the best sitcom is Reba
5/8/2007 10:20:06 AM
I've seen it only a couple times but I liked it. It's on my list of things to watch on DVD.
5/8/2007 10:20:20 AM
Reba doesn't have NPH though.
5/8/2007 10:22:07 AM
I love this show, but I here that it might not get renewed for next season.
5/8/2007 10:35:13 AM

garbageI'll throw another vote in for Reba.
5/8/2007 12:07:32 PM
They had a bit about it on Family Guy Sunday night.
5/8/2007 12:14:40 PM
its threads like these that make me sad
5/8/2007 12:16:21 PM
I caught half of an episode of this show at a friends place a while back, and I was not at all impressedpredictable jokes + laugh track = sad drod
5/8/2007 12:19:01 PM
This show is a great show. I will be pissed if it isn't renewed. The pineapple episode still remains my favorite.
5/8/2007 12:19:45 PM
^especially since Winnie Cooper is in that one.I think the best had to be the one where Barney was reinvented. If the show doesn't get renewed, at least I'll be able to finally know what happened to Robin.
5/8/2007 12:31:41 PM
last ep was pretty good
5/8/2007 12:46:06 PM
5/8/2007 12:48:56 PM
^If that's the only episode you've seen, you may not have caught everything. That probably isn't a good starter episode. Or, you weren't a wonder years fan.The last 2 have been very good as well.
5/8/2007 1:26:49 PM
was it new last night? I was out...of course I have the DVR always set.

I like the one where they put Barney's face over Patrick Swayze's face in Dirty Dancing.
5/8/2007 2:05:15 PM
^^^The show is titled "How I met your Mother" and he tells a continuous story of events leading to that. And he has mentioned that her name is "aunt robin" meaning she probably isnt going to end up being the final girl.[Edited on May 8, 2007 at 2:11 PM. Reason : .]

oh maybe i missed the new one, im thinking of TPIR one
5/8/2007 2:50:43 PM
I just watched the Swarley one last night, pure genius.
5/8/2007 3:00:03 PM
This is definitely a show that grows on you. The laugh track is pretty hurtful, but the really good jokes don't have so much laugh track action.
5/8/2007 3:12:51 PM
i love this show, my g/f and i watch it all the time. we havent been disappointed save a couple of times, but this is really a show that has to grow on you from the beginning of the season.Slap Bet. that says it all.
5/8/2007 3:17:53 PM
God, the execution on the Slap Bet joke was unbelievable.
5/8/2007 3:58:54 PM
haha yeah for real. i think marshall still has 2 or 3 slaps left too.
5/8/2007 4:51:10 PM
You people watch this, and Freaks & Geeks only lasted 18 episodes. Goddammit.
5/8/2007 4:54:45 PM

I was skeptical of this show early on, it seemed to be a slightly better than average sitcom, however the thing that makes it great is that it KEEPS GETTING BETTER which is not something you can say of many sitcoms which find a groove then stick in it.Seriously...Robin Sparkle, classic. The one where "Ted Mosby, Architect" was out for the night, hilarious. And there are 3 Slaps left.
5/8/2007 6:12:27 PM
obligatory props for this show

Last I heard it was all but a fact that it's not being brought back. Some sets, including the bar set, ha ve been dismanted in anticipation. Best Three Eppisodes:Pineapple IncidentSlutty PumpkinRobin Sparkles

i'd add "Swarley"[Edited on May 8, 2007 at 7:22 PM. Reason : sp]
5/8/2007 7:21:06 PM
The last I heard it was still up in the air. Mike Ausiello said that the season finale "could double as the series finale" but the next week said that didn't mean it was cancelled just that there was a major revelation.
5/8/2007 7:22:00 PM
Let go to the mall!
5/8/2007 11:49:47 PM
"Hey, do they make harp hero?"
5/9/2007 12:23:15 AM
Cobie Smulders. . .yum. (The new Wonder Woman?)

I heard the sets being torn down rumor a couple of months ago, so Id think if it was true, it would have come out as a bit more official by now. Hopefully if CBS cans it, someone else might pick it up (average numbers on CBS would be a ratings hit on The CW).This show looks like the typical studio audience show, but its actually not. They film an episode over about 3 days, which allows them to do a lot more with the show rather than being limited to a handful of sets. They then play back the show back in front of a live audience to record the laugh track.^Since its not going to be Charisma Carpenter, Id be down with that.

^^Well, if the point is to find out who he marries/has babies with, and it's not her, then wondering how he ends up getting rid of her is a valid point. Right now thats the biggest question I have.I mean, who the hell would want to stop hitting that?
5/9/2007 10:50:47 AM
please go back and read what you wrote:
5/9/2007 11:02:38 AM
well I was hoping if not renewed, they would end it with at least the answer to who is the mother. Or one of the writers tell us, at least.
5/9/2007 1:04:55 PM
^Yeah, but it would suck if they were like, "Oh, the mother is this woman we were gonna introduce during season 4. Now you know. Show over."
5/9/2007 1:21:12 PM
^hahaha, yeah.Don't worry it won't be canceled.
5/9/2007 1:29:12 PM
Old Christine and Rules of Engagement would likely get the boot before HIMYM. I'm also hoping for the Class to get a renewal.. That show also has some promise. Started out slow, but kept getting better esp during 2nd half of season.CBS also doesn't have a strong set of comedy pilots.. only one is receiving a good amount of buzz. "Giants of Radio".. sounds like a "News Radio"-type show.[Edited on May 9, 2007 at 1:34 PM. Reason : ]
