Are there any CSC courses that deal with any Python programming?

PY 205/8 "scale up" does.

i think it is called something different now, tho.

PY205M and I assume PY208M (haven't taken it yet) use python in their labs

PY 205/208 M&I use VPython. This is NOT the same as Python. They are only marginally related. I don't know the answer to your question, though.

OK thanks. I am not a computer programmer by any means, I just wanted to try and get some experience with python

No CSC courses explicitly deal with it...but for some of the 400 level classes, you'll have projects, and Python might be one of the languages they say you can use. They don't outright teach it to you - you gotta teach it to yourself (Google is your friend), but it's incredibly easy to learn. I picked it up in under a day for a project in my 474 class.
