Did a search and can't find the old thread, must have died?http://www-records.ncsu.edu/Grade/grollchk1.asp

no, it's just that most people already know about this
5/2/2007 3:06:15 PM
I did not know about this. I knew about the "checking your past semester grades for the current semester at 6:30" trick, but have never used this before. Thanks for posting the link - it appears to be down right now though.
5/2/2007 11:26:18 PM
www-?? is that right?
5/2/2007 11:43:20 PM
yeah it is right
5/2/2007 11:43:45 PM
so why isn't it working right now? and can you see the grade or just if theyve posted em?[Edited on May 3, 2007 at 12:02 AM. Reason : .][Edited on May 3, 2007 at 12:02 AM. Reason : .]

probably because the server goes down every night for backups and it is tied into the grade system
5/3/2007 12:06:15 AM
for those who haven't seen it, and since its not working right now, its just a list of the course numbers within your major and notes if each section has submitted any grades. basically a way to see if your class grades have been submitted without logging in to reg and rec.
5/3/2007 12:48:30 AM
too bad the system is down
5/3/2007 1:01:44 AM
It only updates at night, just like the grades, so the 6:30 trick is better
5/4/2007 6:00:51 PM
This is awesome! I've never seen this before! Thanks. (I'm being serious.)[Edited on May 5, 2007 at 6:22 PM. Reason : ]

i really don't see the relevance of thisi have grades that are showing up in past semester grades but their records say not submitted, and i'm sure by the time the records say they're submitted the grades will just be showing up in....grades.lame.
5/7/2007 7:42:01 PM
The grade processing only updates at night, at midnight or something. Its definately not lame...you can see your grades the day they are submitted instead of waiting an extra day. Although some people might not care about that, there are just as many others who would take comfort in knowing their grades as soon as possible.
5/7/2007 8:42:56 PM
^yes, but his comment was about the link which does not show the grade . . . it just shows that the teacher has submitted the grade. And it only shows up in this link once it shows up in the grades section of pack tracks. But if you go to past semester grades, it will show up before it shows up on this page or by just going to grades.

There are two advantages to http://www-records.ncsu.edu/Grade/grollchk1.asp 1) You don't have to sign in to check the status. 2. You can see other classes. For example, if another section of the same class took their final after you, and their grades are posted but yours aren't.
5/8/2007 11:20:17 AM
^^^ "past semester grades" is still quite useful.
5/8/2007 1:11:43 PM
or i mean you could just look in packtracks and see your grade
5/8/2007 2:17:13 PM
it just updated for todaygot one new grade posted
5/8/2007 6:15:26 PM
i got 2 more grades but im scared to look at 416
5/8/2007 7:55:32 PM
i think my professor has died. isn't today the last day to post grades? he only had two small classes this semester.
5/10/2007 2:58:32 PM
^ Unlike students, profs don't have to worry about deadlines. They get stuff done whenever they want to.
5/10/2007 3:46:14 PM
do professors give you an IN for no reason? I got an IN for some reason and have turned in everything and have a grade for everything.
5/10/2007 7:16:11 PM
Isn't it quicker to just go to your ncsu registration and records grades page and check there instead of clicking through all those links?
5/10/2007 9:38:41 PM
my grades also show up in the past grades section before ever showing up on this 'grade submission page'...
5/10/2007 11:44:15 PM
Rainman, this is supposed to just show you if your grade will or will not be posted the next day since it takes one day for grades to process. The grade processing site shows you which ones have been submitted a day before you can see it.
