(cuz i know ya'll have been sittin here, reading page after page of stuff and askin yerselvs "where the fuck is tiresmoker99?")

i just checked it out, but as i was tellin him, i'm lookin for an absolute beater, i've only got about $400 to spare right now, but i might have more in the next month or so if i can get a new job that actually pays me enough to do more than just get by.i've workin for a granite company templating countertops. still pushin tha cavalier, which now has 210k and needs a new belt (squeekin like a muthafucka). tired of always havin to play phone tag with my friends when i need a truck, so i want to find a piece of shit to haul shit. my dad's still got my old truck but he uses it so much now, i'm not sure it would be easy to get him to part with it.

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/297530031.htmlhow hard is it to stuff a 302 into one of these? (or does anyone have a spare engine?)

you work with Rus and Pavel and all them cats by any chance?
4/24/2007 10:55:26 PM
^^it's not hard. about the same as a sbc swap in an s10. Grapehead did a 4wd one.
4/25/2007 12:38:24 AM
nah, i work at world granite, there's like 10 or 15 granite companies around here, i'm tryin to find something different right now tho.i didn't think it would be very complicated, but i know an s10 has a lot more room for a small block than a ranger last i checked.
4/25/2007 9:55:15 PM
302 is smaller than a SBC last time i checked
4/25/2007 10:02:13 PM
it is, but i remember the last ranger i worked on was a bitch, and it was just the v6. my buddy's sbc s10 is only slightly more difficult to work around.i prefer an s10 just cuz i know the trucks so well from what i did with my old one, but for my money, seams like rangers might be my best bet for cheap ass beaters. heres one that just needs a transmission fixed, i would have to find someone to haul it here tho.http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/319208839.html
