So my desktop computer died. It was giving error messages about the fan not working or something, which I ignored. Now it wont turn on. Some have guessed either the power supply is shot or maybe even the processor cooked. This desktop had all my digital pictures as well as Office documents. My question to you all is this, how do i go about retrieving this data?I had an idea to get an external hard drive enclosure, and turn it into a USB drive, so i could plug it into my laptop, get the data I needed out of it and then format it to make it an external drive.Ideas and information would be appreciated.

I've never done something like this before, I'm great at fucking computers up by operating on hardware. How difficult is the process?I'm reading through that posted article now. Thanks again for the suggestions/ideas/help/expertise.
