I've got a friend at work that wants to put an exhaust kit on a 1997 Lincoln Town Car. Yeah, he knows its a boat on wheels but he failed trying to sell it, so now he just wants to mess with it. Any of you know where he can find a package for this car and who in the Raleigh/Durham area can do affordable exhaust work?

you need to find a shop to have your friend removed from the lincoln first

tell him just to set money on fire if that's his thing...it's a lot easierand at least that won't further degrade the value of the carand where is he advertising, and is he trying to get too much for the car?

I see nothing wrong with this as long as he does something that increases the performance.True duals, bigger tubing, new mufflers, w/chrome tips if he wants a little bling? Sounds good. I mean, it's the same 4.6 mod motor that's used across the Ford lineup, shouldn't be hard to come up with something that will sound meaner than stock plus help the performance a little. If it has the vinyl top that's going to be an odd combination though. Also, if he already has dubs or better on it, then he might as well stop trying for anything resembling performance gains.[Edited on April 24, 2007 at 3:51 PM. Reason : s]
