having trouble with just one codec on Media player 11. I've reinstalled and done the IT codec pack. Any free alternatives you may suggest?

Irfanview vlc is good and I use it but it's only popular because it's spammed on the filesharing sites. Irfanview is better, it's written by a guy at University of Austria named Irfan. My favorite feature of it is that it moves the video in real time with the slider button, if your video card can hack it. Also, it allows you to easily cut, splice, edit video. Works great with photos too.
