Unfortunately, no, there really aren't, not that I've found. I've just found that randomly sticking in stuff and seeing how it looks is about the best way to figure it out. PM me if you want more advice, mang

its just not very friendly. when you're drawing lines and need zig-zag lines, etc . . . its odd. also how do you open up a new set of stencils in the visio application?

there was this site that used to have a bunch of tutorials for programs like visio and itunes and notepad, but i can't remember where it was. good luck!

let me know if you guys have any good sites with visio tipsi just got scheduled to do 14 days of flow charts and i need some shortcuts
6/28/2007 11:07:59 AM
for flowcharts omnigraffle is way better than visio.but for network diagrams, visio pretty much owns the world
6/28/2007 12:29:17 PM
well since we only have pc workstations i guess that omnigraffle is out
6/28/2007 1:54:39 PM
6/28/2007 8:01:10 PM
^^ yeah, i'd trade away omnigraffle to have Visio on the Mac
6/28/2007 8:26:14 PM
is omnigraffe free for mac. i may try that. i have to do a huge network diagram that's almost 5 sites in the Everglades and I'd rather use anything but visio. visio is just a pain in the ass for complex diagrams.
6/28/2007 9:54:06 PM
and in amsterdam's world, a complex diagram would be a router and switch.
6/29/2007 6:41:28 AM
nah, G. it's complex. it's a RF line between sites, a PIX, 3750's . . . CallManager Subscribers, VLANs, etc. it's pretty hardcore. the Everglades national park is all Cisco. I did the deployment. i worked out there for 3 months.

so i can create hyperlinks that link to other pages in my visio fileshow do i make that action happen on a double click of the shapethere is no way to choose what shape that it goes to when i select the option under behavior it just gives me the page not page\shape.000the code calls a fuck ton of sub routines and i have a page for each, so if you want to find out what the routine does, just double clicki dont want the user to have to right click and select the hyperlink from the drop down menu

anyone know an easy way to take pages out of visio and make them into their own file?i have over 60 pages so i dont want to copy and paste because i have foreground and background pages

probably the worst solution:
