must be a freshman or sophomore

freshman fuckup, sophomore shut-in

Mine went from a 0.0 to a 4.1 my first semester.
4/17/2007 3:41:15 PM
Mine went from 1.7 to 2.7 in one semester.

mine has stayed constantlow (first semester freshman year): 3.19current: 3.325[Edited on April 17, 2007 at 5:23 PM. Reason : asdf]

mine went from a solid 1.0 to a 3.066 in about 3 semesters
4/17/2007 5:37:04 PM
cant change much if you do consistantly well
4/17/2007 6:18:35 PM
2.5 - 3.5gotta luv switchin from engineering -> accounting
4/18/2007 12:02:22 AM
mine is a 2.7 damn calc 3 last semester.
4/18/2007 12:11:45 AM
calc 3 is the easiest math an engineer will ever take.
4/18/2007 12:30:02 AM
<-- not an engineer
4/18/2007 12:32:18 AM
well, it might be the hardest math you ever take. so thats good news!
4/18/2007 12:34:51 AM
if i woulda came in on business mine would be like a 3.2 right now at least
4/18/2007 1:01:59 AM
4/18/2007 1:25:36 AM
nah, i still have to take diff EQ next semester :\that will be my last math evar. yay chemistry.
4/18/2007 2:04:57 AM
If I'm not mistaken calc 3 is one of the last math courses you'll take as an engineer and I'd also say Dif Eq/Linear Alg are easier than calc 3.
4/18/2007 12:08:16 PM
^ mistaken, we just get what many could argue are harder math classes than the regular math department offers. The math is very difficult and is applied to complex componets of circuits and other things. ECE 220, ECE 301 would both be considered math classes above calc 3. ECE 220 is like diff eq except a little harder because it is applied (my opinion)
4/18/2007 1:02:37 PM
^ So you take ECE220/ECE301 instead of Diff Eq 1/2. Most engineering majors don't even require Diff Eq 2 (or the majors equivalent) so my generalized statement of "one of the last" still stands.

My GPA has increased 5 out of the 6 previous semesters.
4/18/2007 11:34:34 PM
Unless you're actually IN ece, I wouldn't comment on 220 and 301...^^^

"one of the last"
4/19/2007 12:16:32 AM
went back to school with a 2.4 gpafinished with a 3.0took two years to get it that way.
4/19/2007 12:56:14 AM
4/19/2007 10:44:24 AM
gone from a 1.92 to a 2.4 in two semesters and one summer class with no drops just hard work.
4/22/2007 10:28:00 PM
does anybody know if your GPA is final once you graduate or can you continue to take classes to bring it up?
4/22/2007 11:45:35 PM
It's kind of sad you are even worrying about that.
4/23/2007 12:06:28 AM
no I just want to make sure I can get into grad school
4/23/2007 12:41:32 AM
In the grand scheme of things, your GPA matters about as much as what you had for dinner last night
4/23/2007 1:35:40 PM
I pulled my GPA from a 2.3 to a 3.13 during my junior/senior year. Granted I had to make straight A's but it can be done. Most grad schools have a cutoff GPA and GMAT/LSAT grade that they want to see. Research the specific program you want to get into and find out what you need. Thats exactly what I did. After that just keep your eyes on the prize.

sorry about that last double post
4/23/2007 3:28:21 PM
your gpa only matters for your first job and then it prolly isn't a huge factor.
