i disagree with that list so badly.imo, bobby bowden is hands down #1, jim grobe #1 after one good year?good to see butch davis didn't beat obrien off of hype, though.

i think its how they do NOWBobby Bowden has underachieved lately with the amount of talent he has. Jim Grobe has WAYYYY Overachieved with what he has

one is the winningest coach in college football, and one had a single good year.just saying.

To say that Ted Roof is better than two coaches in the ACC is laughable, I don't care if they coached rec league underwater basket weaving, they should certainly be better rated than Roof. Seriously, Randy Shannon??? Shannon will bein JAX within 2 full seasons. Roof will be coaching Pee Wee.

I think Beamer is the best overall coach in the league. Just glad we are ahead of Butch Davis.

because Miami is a hotbed for recruiting, you could garner 3 or 4 entire teams just from Dade County abd they woudl be legitimate D-I teams. It's not exactly tough to recruit at a school with 4 national championships within 15 years (at the time) and five stars in your back yard, probation or not. We'll see if this translates at UNC.

^^ if bobby bowden, the winningest coach in d1 history, is #4, i'm going to assume that he's not looking at what butch davis did 7 years ago. this has to be a "what have you done for me lately" ranking. and davis hasn't worked since 2004.
4/14/2007 6:23:26 PM
i wasn't really taking issue with the rankings, just whoever said he's been hyped up, as if he hasn't ever done anything. doesn't really matter though

in the spring game...TOB made a point at halftime to call out the players who did made all of the spring practices, and the ones who didn't make them all (~15-20 players) were called out...great move, i like this guy
4/15/2007 1:02:02 PM
can you remember any of the guys who made all practices and weight lifting sessions?
4/15/2007 1:04:06 PM
i can remember that willie young did make them all, and darrell blackman did not. that's all i got.[Edited on April 15, 2007 at 1:50 PM. Reason : spelling police]
4/15/2007 1:50:24 PM
^^Burke and Evans did, Beck didn't
4/15/2007 1:55:43 PM
most of the guys made them all, unfortunately the skill players (brown, baker, blackman) did not...and willie young jumped up and pumped his fist when they said his name, pretty funny
