it can be longer or shorter than a minute, it really depends on what shots you use and don't use.

I'm in a film production class and we only use Kodak since there film quality is really good but they did mess up my order this time. You should know the story you are in my class Mark.

Maybe she means a 1 foot reel, not 1 feet in length, which would be completely worthless.
