So I upgraded to Vista and surprise surprise my HP Laserjet 1012 printer won't work Vista until the new drivers come out (looking like July at the latest). I friggin love this printer but need a new one within the next couple weeks. I can alway boot into XP to print but thats a pain.If you have an extra laser printer, let me know the make/model so I can research Vista drivers. If you want to buy my HP Laserjet 1012 pm or post a bid. It comes with a nearly full hi-capacity toner, and works perfectly under Windows XP and before. I'll throw in a long USB cable too if the price is decent.Review:http://www.hp.ca/portal/smb/pi/HP1012-2pp-reprint.pdf

I heard this works with Vista:Use the Vista Laserjet 1015 driver. Once the driver is installed, open the properties for your printer. Under the "Advanced" tab, press the Print Processor button. Select the WinPrint processor and Default data type of "Raw".

those are REALLY nice printers for the money - I've owned two of 'em

^ yeah i absolutely love this printer, hate to be getting rid of it ^^ Hmm, didn't try the RAW thing...maybe I'll try that when I get home.^^^ I don't have any way to tell....I'll try to print a test page or something and see if it lists it there. Its a high-capacity one from one of the local toner companies and I haven't ran off that many pages since replacement...I'd guess at least 75% is left.[Edited on April 12, 2007 at 3:10 PM. Reason : if anyone has a color laser which works under vista lemme know.]
