"It was along the lines of, free house, take everything you want," said Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Gretchen Ellis. "He thinks, 'That's strange,' and filed it away in the back of his head." Back on duty a few days later, Ellis said that the same police officer heard a call go out -- a burglary report at the exact address he'd seen on Craigslist while shopping for parts. He looked up the original ad and it was gone. "He's pretty smart with the Internet," Ellis said, "so he Googled it, and found the first 35 characters, the header, on Google cache." This information was subsequently added to the police incident report. Internet usage advocates say that the use of Craigslist is not in any way an indictment of online advertising. "A situation like this is ugly, but the fact that it is on the Internet is incidental," said Rebecca Jeschke, a spokeswoman for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which supports Internet anonymity. "Craigslist is a great forum for a lot of people, and it's always unfortunate that there are a few bad apples." Craigslist said that "any activity that violates our terms of use is NOT welcome on Craigslist at all." No charges have been filed yet in what Ellis described as a "civil matter." Of course, it's unclear how "civil" the case really is -- Raye had recently evicted the tenant. "

I'm not sure what you are talking about with the Tacoma people being retards.... maybe it's kind of like how people in Sport's Talk like to claim people from West Virginia are inbred.

I live like 45 minutes away from both Seattle and Tacoma, so I go to both places on a regular basis. While I don't like to stereotype, if I had to do so, I would say Seattle is made up more of yuppie liberals that like to do... I dunno, liberal type stuff (ie be flamboyantly gay, hang up "I hate Bush" propaganda, play accordian in the street.) Of course that's not everyone, but that's certainly the vibe in downtown Seattle.

Tacoma, on the other hand, is really quite similar to Raleigh. It's a medium sized city. I think last I heard it was somewhere about 250k people or so. It has several colleges, a lot of chain restaraunts, an event center (the Tacoma Dome)... Any time I have ever been there, the place has seemed about as normals you can get.

II. People, including the aforementioned groups, tend to live accepted lifestyles, especially with those of the society close to them.
III. This, in turn, would make the aforementioned groups take on the ideology of the society they live in.
III. The area in question is liberal.

It's a safe bet that most of the gay, anti-Bush, and street musicians would be liberal.
