Possibly the best high school player in the country may be headed to NC State he is going to mull over staying at K state but says he likes Memphis, NC State And Florida Stathttp://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/news/story?id=2829319

I'm going to go ahead and say he's going to Florida or Memphis. Florida will have a lot of openings next year.[Edited on April 8, 2007 at 4:59 PM. Reason : sdf]

^florida state hes not interested in florida
4/8/2007 5:00:47 PM
The article says Florida State, not Florida
4/8/2007 5:00:50 PM
obligatory pessimism: he'll never come here
4/8/2007 5:01:58 PM
[old]He mentions Memphis first in the article, so obviously we arent the favored of the 3.From what Ive read, we dont want the guy and dont really need him. We are stacked at power forward. We also dont have the scholarships.
4/8/2007 5:02:07 PM
he'll come visit, then pick florida statethats some nc state shit right thurrrrrr
4/8/2007 5:02:38 PM
oh, my bad. Then a mild . Still don't see why he would pick us over Memphis, though.
4/8/2007 5:02:43 PM
he would be our 2 guard and any team in the nation would want beasley he will be next years version of durantwe need him
4/8/2007 5:03:29 PM
hes a package deal with someone right?

hmmm...I could've sworn I read somewhere that he was going uphold in LOI to K State.
4/8/2007 5:27:24 PM
Look, if he mentions NC State that we have been doing at least some recruiting, and therefore we probably have the scholarship issues worked out on paper. It's not like one of the top 3 highs school players is just gonna say "I like NC State, I hope Lowe will let me come there"I personally think he is kind a douchebag, but not in the same class of douchebag as Mayo. I would put him in the class of McCants, loved by his fanbase in spite of his faults, but hated by everyone else.
4/8/2007 5:31:54 PM
well ya this wouldnt bode well for horner and hickson
4/8/2007 5:34:39 PM
4/8/2007 5:43:33 PM
Even if he doesn't go to K-State... he ain't coming here. We don't have a scholarship. Nearly a 0 % chance of this happening
4/8/2007 5:49:49 PM
i just wonder why we are still contacting these recruits if we have no scholarships left.[Edited on April 8, 2007 at 5:55 PM. Reason : j]

^ anything can happen, somebody could leave, somebody may not qualify, its good to have your bases covered just in case

i love it when people say that guys who are being actively recruited won't come here b/c we don't have enough schollies.as if they're not being asked to come here.
4/8/2007 9:09:24 PM
^as if our staff is too stupid to realize that themselves and figure out ways AROUND IT, or shifting schollies and taking them away from players blah blah,,, thank you for making sense too
4/8/2007 9:13:31 PM
^10hahaha, i got the mental picture of his momma smackin him on the back of the head at Easter lunch, tellin him to get over himself and that he made a commitment and has to fulfill his promise or atleast, maybe thats what I would do, hehhis mom knows it doesn't matter where he plays, he'll be in the NBA the following year anyways[Edited on April 8, 2007 at 9:13 PM. 4/9/2007 12:25:05 PM
^how did charlotte "let" him? huggins basically just imposed his will
4/9/2007 2:34:50 PM
Its all posturing by him and his family. If he looks eager to leave then that will further infuriate the Kstate AD and fanbase, making them want to hold him to his LOI and sit out a year : which is exactly what they do NOT want to happen since he is certainly NBA bound after one year and then they all cash in. Its all about getting the best publicity on the way to being the #1 draft pick.Likely he will end up in Memphis and that greaseball fuckhead Calipari will win the championship (they are already pretty nasty). To think we almost hired that guy and I actually was excited...
4/9/2007 2:46:59 PM
You mean Calipari will win a bunch of games with a talented team in a crap conference before losing in the Sweet 16/Elite 8?
4/9/2007 2:52:47 PM
^ i'd say that's more likely.
4/9/2007 3:21:50 PM
just had a thing on him on PTI in the big finish. says beasley is 70% sure he is gonna be at k-state next year.
4/9/2007 7:30:32 PM
70% sure? wtf does that mean. i'd love to see the thought process behind that number
4/9/2007 7:34:20 PM
Its better than the cliche "99% sure" Which usually means more like 50-50
4/9/2007 7:39:10 PM
i'd give him a 82% chance of staying at KSU, 17% chance at going to Memphis, and a 1% chance he breaks the NBA rule and goes pro next year.
4/9/2007 7:43:43 PM
personally i think he is going to leave K-state if he can get out of his LOI. i doubt he will be able to get out with how pissed the school and AD are. it isn't like K-state is going to scare away big recruits by being dick's to this class. This is the biggest recruiting class they will ever have, it's worth getting the bad rep.if he does get out, i expect to see him at memphis. nc state and fsu sound like afterthoughts from the interview w/ him.
