4/5/2007 10:02:42 PM
If it's been cancelled, why do they even bother showing any of the episodes?
4/5/2007 10:07:48 PM

Why would Nathan Fillion do this show? It looks so bad. Plus if it's a race across the US, how long could they drag that out?
4/6/2007 3:14:23 PM
AWESOME fucking movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116147/

4/15/2007 2:25:38 PM
on a semi-related note, my fiance is pissed that the wedding bells was cancelled. i watched it a couple times and it wasn't all that bad for a chick show
4/15/2007 2:28:46 PM
^^^^hahahhadirector, Steve wang
4/15/2007 2:51:01 PM
i think i'll watch tonight because i heard the "race" scenes were pretty good
4/15/2007 2:54:18 PM
Ive heard its a lot different than the promos make it look, but FOX is pushing it to the "Fast and the Furious" type crowd. Also, the promos that show the cheezy looking driving scenes (where its obvious its fake) arent cut from the finished product, but rather elements...the finished product should look as good as any other modern car driving scene (should). It looks bad, yeah, but everything Tim Minear has done (that Ive seen) has been great...Angel, Firefly, Wonderfalls, The Inside. AICN deems it FOXs best new series in years, which means it will probably be cancelled by next month: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/32292 (spoilers).

4/15/2007 8:08:22 PM

^^ maybe she wasn't invited, or it doesn't work since she stole the flash drive or something. it would seem that she'd already be disqualified though so i'm not sure what her true purpose is yet[Edited on April 15, 2007 at 9:06 PM. Reason : ^'s]

hah"i think i should have shot you"
4/15/2007 9:46:37 PM
Does this show look like it's any good? Fox has already tested my patience by airing it in Family Guy's and American Dad's place.
4/15/2007 9:56:49 PM
i like this show, it has great potential
4/15/2007 10:00:23 PM

Nice Firefly mini-reunion for the first scene of the series (detective also played Early in "Objects in Space". In fact, his characters name was "Detective Ehrle" Theres a bit of unbelievableness, but a lot of fun. Nathan Fillion is awesome as usual.

Dear Fox:I was planning to watch the two hour premiere of this show. Thankfully I didn't waste the entire two hours watching it.

seems like a lot of these shows really should be following the BBC formula for making shows, where they (sometimes? often?) purposefully plan to make x number of shows, or x seasons, right from the beginning, instead of attempting to draw the shows out for as long as possible, as long as they're making money. Ricky Gervais has a quote about that somewhere - for his reasons for wanting to make the original The Office only 2 seasons long. Since he had a fixed number of shows to work with, the was able to introduce some story lines (Tim/Dawn), make them interesting, and wrap them up exactly how he wanted to as the show went off the air. While I love The Office (US), it certainly does look like it's going to suffer (already is, actually) from Jim/Pam fatigue. With the US's open-ended commitment to making the show as long as possible, story lines inevitably have to be killed and introduced to keep things fresh. But can you imagine a show getting a green-light at a major studio in the US where the producer comes in and says "hey, we have this great idea - we want to film 16 episodes, earn a lot of money, then go off the air completely, and you can find something else to fill our spot next season!"
4/16/2007 2:08:51 PM
^you right.or atleast know when you need to wrap the show up. The Wire for example is entereing its last season (5) and the writers and producers have said this is it. There are no other storylines that they feel would be quality enough to continue on. 24 is jumping the shark along with many many others. And certain shows (black donnellys imo) aren't getting the chance they deserve.
4/16/2007 2:14:41 PM
wasnt there a movie about a car race with a bunch of randomly chosen people to get $texas
4/16/2007 3:05:33 PM

I really want to find these mountains that are in FL.
4/16/2007 8:05:12 PM
^The gas station was obvious too as you dont see those pump nozzles anywhere around here (or at least I havent seen them anywhere other than national news stories on gas prices.)

This whole show will be a who's who of past Minear/Whedon projects...just like all past Minear/Whedon projects...My favorite so far was Jubal Early as the FBI? Agent investigating the wife's dissappearance. That first scene with him and Nathan was great I thought. Somehow I think they'll be more to this. Also I thought this episode was lightyears better than the "2-Hour Premiere", I'm surprised they didn't show this episode first and then go back 3 months later and show the premiere right before they canned it.

i still like this show. the depth they are giving to each character really works to produce a very intricate plot. i can't say that it is a great show yet, but it does have potential
4/23/2007 10:25:44 PM
i like this show a lot, but I really hope its only 1 maybe 2 seasons long
4/24/2007 1:11:24 AM
i like the show too, but the guy who plays tully seems to have the acting versatility of a wet mop
