Best pitcher in the majors, solid lineup, though they're in the best division in the majorsIf Mauer and Morneau can keep things moving the Twins should have a good shot at battling for a playoff spot down the stretch
4/2/2007 1:14:27 PM
your best players are a pitcher and a catcher. end of discussion.and by two to three hours, I meant five minutes.
4/2/2007 1:18:46 PM
the twinkies are looking good. i think they can easily win the central. however, their starting pitching is a little thin behind Johan.
4/2/2007 2:44:16 PM
Their organization and management will handle the rest of the pitching staff as they seem to handle all their problems year in and year out. Don't forget outfielder Michael Cuddyer had a really big last year batting over .300. If Louis Castillo can step up in the lead-off spot and some young pitchers like Matt Garza and Boof Bonser will step up like they did at the end of last season, Twins will for sure ge the number 2 spot in the division, if not the number 1. Watch out for the A.L central getting the wild card this year.
4/2/2007 2:52:19 PM
Could be a damn good team, Torii Hunter really needs to step up.
4/2/2007 2:52:55 PM
^^i agree with the AL Central getting the wildcard this year...course Detroit, Minnesota, Cleveland and the Sox are all contenders
4/2/2007 2:55:43 PM
Torii is the leader of that clubhouse, has been for the past 5 years. We could use some big offensive numbers from him, but his defense really sets an example

4/19/2007 4:22:05 PM
haha stupid fucking mariners have twins on 2nd and 3rd, intentionally walk the bases loaded with 1 out and give up a 2 rbi single]
4/19/2007 8:25:06 PM
wow that was a close one...shit ass middle reliever let the mariners cut it from 6-2 to 6-5 but johan got the win
4/19/2007 9:54:59 PM
yeah Neshek is always shaky.. Mauer, Cuddyer and Morneau are holdin down the middle of that lineup though
4/20/2007 12:44:24 AM
yes and Redmond had a big hit in the 5th(?) during the 5 run inning...and in hindsight how big was that throwing error on the double play attempt that inning where the 6th run scoredhopefully torii will be back soon
4/20/2007 12:45:54 AM
Kent Hrbek supports this thread
4/20/2007 3:12:10 AM

4/26/2007 1:49:14 PM

4/26/2007 1:52:38 PM
yeah he faked like he was gonna charge the mound and decided not to...kind of a glancing blow but he got a pinch runner...hope he comes back, he's been swinging the bat well lately...homered yesterday
4/26/2007 1:55:17 PM

4/26/2007 2:05:07 PM
^that was pretty pathetic they are only two years removed and unlike minnesota as of late they actually know how to get to the ALCS
4/26/2007 2:07:37 PM
who won the division last year?wait a minute...who made the playoffs last year?]
4/26/2007 2:09:05 PM
.. and got oaklowned. at least you can buy a 2006 AL Central Winnars t-shirt, I guess. I prefer 2005 World Series. YOU LOSE AT THIS ARGUMENT
4/26/2007 2:10:48 PM
i can only imagine what its like to see your favorite team only win one world series in your lifetime
4/26/2007 2:11:34 PM
YEAH, FUCK THEM!!AHAHAH!!!Regards, - Cubs Fans
4/26/2007 2:12:32 PM
Crede, try winning the division 4 out of the last 5 years with a $63,396,006 payroll..The Sox's is $102,750,667. Big difference
4/26/2007 5:18:56 PM
gangganja21,try winning a world series in the last 5 years. you might need a bigger payroll
4/26/2007 5:43:01 PM
4th highest payroll in baseball and you didnt even make the playoffs last year? not very efficient
4/26/2007 5:45:52 PM
tell that to the red sox, another team that knows something about winning a world series recently
4/26/2007 5:52:35 PM
damn 1 title in 85 or so years and all the sudden you're a typical yankees/unc/cowboys fanalso you might want to call 2 years ago a World Serie...since you havent even seen your team win more than 1]
4/26/2007 5:54:27 PM
k
4/26/2007 6:45:26 PM
If we are going by most recent success... you shouldn't be talking considering you didn't make the playoffs last year, AFTER you won the world series...what are you the Carolina Hurricanes.. pathetic
4/26/2007 9:57:43 PM
lol I love torii charging then pussing out
4/27/2007 10:54:53 AM
Lets see you get drilled in the mouth by a 85 mph baseball
4/27/2007 11:42:23 AM
3 stitches^^you love that 11 inning shutout victory too dont ya[Edited on April 27, 2007 at 11:49 AM. Reason : .]
4/27/2007 11:49:04 AM
^^pay me a $12,000,000 salary and I'd probably let you hit me with an 85 mph fastball in the mouth without a half-assed temper tantrum. class act, that guy.^yeah, it's tough scoring runs on the royals..
4/27/2007 11:57:31 AM
