everyone probably has posted in the "WHAT MUSIC ARE U LISTENING TO NOW?" thread. I am just curious, but how is this any different from padding?

I'll be honest, I used to post some in that thread, to let people know the kinds of music I listened to.

Now I use it as reference a lot of times when I want to download some music but I can't think of anything, which strangely enough happens a lot. I look through the list of song titles, and usually it is really diverse and I can get some idea of what to get.

it's not padding because each post in there has a point relevent to the thread topic... yes, it's ahuge thread, you could probably get rid of the first hundred pages and they wouldn't be missed, but it's not padding

Like Perrin, I use it to find titles that I may be interested in. I see friends that post in there and people with similar music tastes then load up my music piracy tool of choice.

I don't either............. and while we are on that topic, the stupid WORD ASSOCIATIONS threads are nothing but ways for people to padd as well. If CrazyJ is going to rip on padding he should do it to these threads. They are no different.
