An NCSU-owned van hit my car today in a parking lot. Small scratch, knocked off my side mirror and bent the mount, and my window won't roll up. Body place, general mechanic...?[Edited on March 30, 2007 at 3:59 PM. Reason : I'm supposed to get the estimate sent to the driver's boss.][Edited on March 30, 2007 at 4:05 PM. I already had all that information. The best I can remember from the day this all happened (his boss' name is in my wallet, which I have lost) is that the guy I'm supposed to send the estimate starts with a P, and sounds Italian.
4/26/2007 4:16:37 PM
have you called the zone shop yet?513-7184
4/26/2007 4:19:02 PM
yupthought someone answered, because I could hear lots of background noise, and what sounded like someone saying 'what?'...but it was to leave a message :-\I'm gonna grab someone another day, down there, and just hand-deliver it. I was gonna mail it today, if I could get an address, because I was already buying stamps, and wasn't gonna be over there today.

finally got the check.Now...is RJ and G someone yall would recommend I go get the mirror fixed at? I'm not getting the paint fixed. I want a progressively uglier car to bully soccer moms with. And is it gauche to show up to a shop with the part already in hand? ^come get some, you boatbitch [Edited on May 15, 2007 at 9:47 PM. Reason : I want a boat.]
5/15/2007 9:46:58 PM
oui...c'est tres gauche. And it's a great way to piss shop folks off. It's one of the few things that really makes enemies between the customer and the shop.I suppose it's an ego thing almost as much as anything. For one, they often think you're trying to do their job for them and indicates you may feel they are incompetent. Second...you eat into their profits when you do that. All shops make some profit off of parts; with the huge amount of overhead they shoulder, labor is often NOT enough to guarantee a worthwhile profit.I do not recommend furnishing the parts unless it's a good friend doing it on the side.I suppose RJ & G is okay...better than Kenny Hawkins, at least from a regular production work perspective.
