Do seats get filled up in online for online courses as they do for traditional courses?

Yes, there are a limited number of seats available for online courses.

there are a certain number of seats available, but i've never had a problem getting one. they just take a lot more discipline than showing up to class.

distance ed classes are the last to fill up. i've often ended up doing online classes as a last resort BECAUSE the traditional classes i wanted were full.i'm taking precalc through a DVD course this semester. it's almost the same as attending a class. you have homework on webassign. i set aside 3 hours each Mon & Wed to watch DVDs and do Webassign.i don't recommend taking something like Philosophy or English through distance ed. i've done it before, and it's difficult to make time for the reading, writing, etc. This was truly a last resort for me when i did it.
