Does anyone have any rental experience with Rhyne Management? I will be moving to Cary in May and I'm considering one of their town homes. I know that they own some properties close to NCSU and would appreciate any info from people who have worked with them. The community is Boundary Village at 54 and Harrison beside Northwoods Elementary if anyone is familiar with the areaA friend let me use his account to post this so please respond in the thread. Thanks Liz

I've rented from them for the past three three years. Their maintenance has been very good, usually taking care of broken things the day you report it. My only complaint would be that every year, our rent has gone up $25 (Started at $650, After one year... went to $675... now they're asking for $700 if we were to renew, but I'm moving out of state for my new job ) Overall, I'd recommend them compared to companies like Priess. Hope that helps.[Edited on March 26, 2007 at 7:05 PM. Reason : .]

^Priess rent has gone up every year too anyway.

I'm not all that concerned about them raising rent with renewal. I am pretty much only planning to stay in the area for a year before going back to grad school. I just wanted to make sure that they weren't slumlords. The rent is unusually reasonable for the area and the size of the apartment, so I was kind of worried. If anyone has experience with the rental office in cary/apex that would be particularly helpful.

Only dealt with the gorman st location, but they've been good. I've seen the prices of their listings reduced if they sit open for a while, not sure if that's the case for the place in question.

The location isn't the best as far as Cary is concerned. I've driven through Boundary Village a couple of times when I was considering them. If you go down 54 a 1/4-1/2 mile towards Harrison there are some crack houses (crack houses for Cary anyways, probably wannabe crack houses compared to everywhere else). My wife used to work at the Credit Union at the corner of 54 and Harrison and they would always warn their new employees to be carefull around the area at night cuz those houses are kinda sketch. As far as the company goes, I have no idea

i never had a problem with them when i rented, and they were very accommodating...i wanted to rent by the month after graduation (and after my year lease) and they were good about letting me do whatever i wanted.

I thought they did a good job and were fair. Their rents are negotiable. I offered $775 on a place that was advertised at $825 and they accepted my offer. I also never took a rent hike. I just called them each time they tried to raise it and said something to the effect that we were taking good care of the house, they haven't made any upgrades, yadda yadda yadda, don't raise my rent.

Rhyne was the best rental company I dealt with in the areaPriess and Schrader were the worst

I should have said "some of their rents are negotiable." When I made my offer they went back to the owner and he approved it. It's going to depend on how badly the owner wants to get it rented.

I've been with them for about a year now, and haven't had any problems. Maintenance is good and fast - our dishwasher broke the first week we moved it - and we had a new one within 2 days (one of the days was a Sunday).

Soooo change in plans I went and visited Hermitage at Beechtree on Cary parkway and loved it. It is really a better overall location for where I will be working. SOOOO if anyone has any experiences let me know

The only time I have been there was a couple years ago to stop by a friends place to pick something up real quick. The only thing I remember was that his 2bdrm apartment was really small. Is there a certain rent range you're trying to stay in?

ironically - talk to the guy with the AIM screen name NCSUhobbit........he used to live there...this is weird

I hope to stay under $750. The smallest 2BR is small, but we would be getting the largest 2BR. I was most impressed by the grounds and locationFYI my work will be split between Cary and N Raleigh, so I need to be able to get to 540 pretty easily. I also loved Falls Pointe at the Park off of Alexander. It was beautiful, but a bit more expensive

I'd recommend my complex but it might be a little over your range. I live at Waterford Forest Apts in Cary (maynard and high house) in the large 2 bdrm 1220 sqft and I pay 733/mo. Although I think the going rate right now is about 800. You might check the smaller 2 bdrm though since its still over 1100 sqft.$200 referral bonus that I'll split with ya

^ haha I have been told to avoid high house like the plague because of the traffic. However, the place looks decent and affordable. If I end up renting there I would be glad to drop your name. Would you mind sending me any pics of the inside of your apt? I couldnt really find much online. I can send you my email if you have anythingCurrent top 21. Hermitage at Beechtree2.
