I am allowed to walk at graduation when I am done w/ school second summer session. Does it mean that I will be recognized at the departmental graduation? Or can I only go to the big one?

Thanks

talk to you advisor. I'm in the same boat and mine, who is also the department head, just told me to contact the department secretary and another professor to let them know of my intentions because they're the ones who handle graduation.

The other thing is that even if they call your name you won't get a diploma (some departments don't hand out diplomas during the ceremony anyway).

The other option you have is to come back for the December ceremony.

Just talk to you advisor.

Let your advisor know so you can get on the program and WILL receive special recognition/honors if they are in place. I was in the same situation, and was supposed to be recognized at whichever ceremony I was supposed to go to. Talked to my advisor, and made a few phone calls afterwards, and all was well.
