probably nothing more than Iran flexing nuts trying to show that they have power in light of the recent defections and 'kidnappings' of key iranian officers. If you remember, they did this same thing back in 2004 and it was resolved diplomatically.

It is more or less retaliation for the US detaining 5 Iranian diplomats. It is just a political game that will end smoothly.

The funny part about that is that the 5 detained were reported to not have been diplomats at all and while they claimed that the building they were taken from was a consulate, it had no such legal status. However, they had applied to be granted diplomatic status and for what ever reason is was either denied or delayed.

This whole situation is probably retaliation for the aforementioned diplomats and their former defense minister going missing in turkey and a high ranking officer being 'kidnapped' in iraq recently.

the reason why they were mad about 300 is because it wasnt told correctly.

everyone and their mother thought that 300 greeks killed thousands/millions of persians. which wasnt the case.

people made a big hype about it.
