why can't you drive them in the winter? i had to do a little tuning with drastic weather changes, but i always drove my t-maxx year round.

mine's lectric but still hits about 50 (no scale here)battery seems more like a capacitor though

BBR I think its just a seasonal type thing for a lot of people, or intermittent at least. I haven't run my RS4 in a while, maybe not even since in the brickyard that time a few of us went out.I'm in the same boat as you ^... blazing fast for like 4-5 minutes. If you want to drop some moolah on batteries though lithium polymer will give you the most energy density for the size/weight. It is hard to justify the money for something you don't ride in that doesn't fly if theres no regular racing going on... and even then.

seasonal thing for nitro, i have been driving some electric cars around anyway. need some misc parts for all my stuff to work, like $30 total to have 5 cars workingbrushless+lipo is the way for faaaaaaaaaaast as hell stuffand there is regular racing in durham http://www.thercspeedway.com[Edited on March 22, 2007 at 8:16 PM. Lately with the good weather, there has been a consistent group of RC airplane people in the afternoon and weekends in the corporate park in betwixt glen eden and edwards mill. They weren't around much during the winter.

Do you guys know of any big ass parking lots where I could drive my nitro car?
3/23/2007 9:18:32 AM
RBC Center?
3/23/2007 9:43:29 AM
Thats a pretty good idea.

Nitro seasonal? I think not. We've been running year 'round for 2 consecutive years now. Besides that, RC pavement running should be considered teh 'novelty' of RC........on the dirt is where its at. This was last Sunday's crew.....Sneak peek of the track......Its near the airport, at a top secret location.....
3/24/2007 6:48:41 AM
Yall are gonna make me get back into RC and drop $THOUSANDS of dollars like I did before
3/24/2007 11:42:36 AM
ive been wanting a tmaxx for like 5 years now.. but i still can't quite justify $400 on a damn rc truck. someone sell me thiers cheap
3/24/2007 12:17:40 PM
hahaha i have almost a grand into an ELECTRIC caryou know 12 motors w/ diff winds and turns etc.

3/25/2007 3:20:07 PM
^^You wouldnt happen to have an emaxx would ya?
3/25/2007 11:44:23 PM
nahh hpi rs4 mt with 2 speed gearbox and lots o carbon
3/26/2007 5:20:17 AM
i had an emaxx they were fun. get some 7 cells or now i guess lipo brushless emaxx would be the bomb (hmm.............)
3/26/2007 8:10:55 AM
Ah, built the lipo packs but still cant really justify the brushless for it until the prices come down some. Hell going brushless will cost more than I bought for the maxx, charger, and a couple sets of decent (3000mah+) batts.

me and some buddies just ordered some Duramax Vendetta STs. little 1/18th scale electric stadium trucks. should be fun for under $150 done and done
5/30/2007 6:58:33 PM
this little sucker kicks some ass. I advanced the timing on the stock motor and hardwired the motor to ESC. w/ a good battery pack this sucker flies, its crazy. It also flies through the air really easily in that it stays flat and its quite responsive to throttle in the air in changing pitch, etc.fun!
