So i ran too close up on a truck w/ low trailer hitch caught the bottom of my bumper. It didn't punch a hole all the way thru but theres a dent/crack in the bumper about half the width of the (round) trailer hitch. I know in many cases its possible to simply fill the gap w/ some sort of compound and just paint over it, but ive got 0 experience with this sort of thing, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Worse case scenario, i take it to a body shop, but if any of you have any experience and think you can knock it out im not opposed to letting one of you have it, you'd be compensated of course. The car is an 05 impala by the way. -kr

fixing plastic bumpers is not easy, nor will it look anywhere close to perfect.ive done it several times. the best is to take the bumper off, heat it a bit and kinda press it out hard.post a pic for better advice

they make professional glue/epoxy that works for this, but it is a bitch to deal with and I wouldnt guarantee that it wont crack back out. we fixed my brother's first car like this (bought it wrecked) and trying to cheap out and fix that crack was more of a bitch on the car than any of the body work
