suprised this hasnt been mentioned in here, but he was on last night and he really showed how out of touch with reality those within this administration are.they're re-showing it tonight at 8 on comedy central, it was really interesting to watch

i don't have access to any of this, but, john bolton is a fucking bastard.he is know for being a bully and an asshole.but, please do quote some things that he said that show "how out of touch with reality those within this administration are."thnx.

i cant remember any quotes off the top of my head, but one of the points he kept making was that its a good thing that bush puts his people/friends in powerful positions regardless of past experience
3/21/2007 6:28:34 PM
basically what i gathered is that john bolton feels that when a president is elected the public has told said president to do whatever he damn well pleases and fuck anyone who doesn't agree with that.seriously

Did he sing "When a Man Loves a Woman"?Because if he did I will definitely DVR it.
3/21/2007 6:37:17 PM

His views were consistent though, which would appeal to other people like him.He seems to feel that the Executive branch should basically be able to do what they want however they want because that's what its function is. He didn't address the purpose of the Congress in this context.

presumably to refuse to confirm him no matter how many times its asked.
3/22/2007 8:00:04 AM
I didn't see Bolton on, but last night's episode when he called Doris Kearns Goodwin was freakin' hilarious.
3/22/2007 8:45:43 AM
I heard Bolton on the radio the other day saying he definitely still agreed that the Iraq War was the right thing to do

The real kicker was Bolton on Lincoln's strategy of appointing political rivals and opponents in his cabinet. Stewart asserted that Lincoln believed in empowering people he disagreed with in order to gain their perspective and sharpen his own views on what needed to be done. Bolton effectively called Stewart's interpretation "historically inaccurate," the standard denial-response used by anyone the Bush administration. The next day Stewart, during his show, calls up a Lincoln biographer. She confirmed Stewart's claims, fatcs which Stewart based off an his interview with said biographer on TDS in 2005.It's fucking ridiculous that Bushies still pull this deniel bullshit every time someone presents facts contrary to their position.

Denial then vicious personal attacks.
3/24/2007 3:06:05 AM
If you can't be right then you have to be deceptive
3/24/2007 8:20:33 AM
Attn Bushies: Denial is not a river in Africa.
3/24/2007 10:24:12 AM
i concur with this thread.

If a bushie ever accused me of having a problem with "democratic theory" I could really throw them for a loop by truthfully responding that I hate democracy because it's bullshit. And when did Republicans start giving lip service to democracy? It doesn't seem like too long ago that they were the ones saying stuff like "This isn't a democracy, it's a limited constitutional republic."Now they're attacking critics for having problems with "democratic theory" and starting wars to "spread democracy."
3/25/2007 9:05:56 AM
doh mentioned above.the thing i hated is bolton could have been replaced by a tape recorder looping "you don't know shit" back to john.
