I would not recommend looking for one on craigslist, but you should post a "WTB: Elliptical" on craigslist. I could not find any cheap ones on craigslist and so I posted that and found a nice one for $120 and I only got it for that cheap because the lady said she was too lazy to post an ad... or work on her elliptical.

i got a new one at sears a couple months ago for less than $300. if you find them on sale, they are reasonably priced.
