I tried to do it myself, but couldn't figure it out. I'm a n00b at this, so I guess I'm better off let somebody else do it. Supposedly, it's a simple job, since it's a 5speed. The car is 99 integra gsr. I already bought the fluid. Let me know how much do you want for the job.

I think that rule only applies to automatic tranny.

I believe its fine to completely change the fluid. The thing you don't want to do is go for a power flush when you have high miles, if you have not consitently had this done throughout the life of your car. Reason being it can knock particles and shit loose which can end up fucking up ur car.

^correct. crap knocked loose can clog your cooler, pump, etc. and fry the transmission.

optmusprimer swears by a certain machine/method that makes it okay, but i don't fully buy it.

there are machines/methods that do a better job than others, but there's still the chance of that one piece finally deciding to come loose after everything is all hooked back up.
