why do people keep complaining about having 4 rounds in the tournament, saying things like "it's unusal" and "i'm not used to it", or whatever? hasn't it been 4 rounds since 1991, when fsu joined?

If you call the worst two teams in the league playing by themselves on Thursday a "round," then yes.

I'd say it's being called "unusual" simply because people have been skipping work and school on ACC Friday for years, and now there's an ACC Thursday to plan for, as well, not to mention the fact that the probability of one's team being out on Friday has now skyrocketed.
