That's the tell-tale sign you're getting old. That and the fact that when I turn 25 this summer I'll have to concede the fact of being in my mid-twenties
3/11/2007 9:02:27 AM
Suspension of disbelief can last atleast to 29… and I’ve been listening to NPR regularly since I was 18.
3/11/2007 9:18:42 AM
Fags.
3/11/2007 9:33:14 AM
I realized I was old when a lot of the kids in my class at school have no recollection of gas prices being around $1.
3/11/2007 10:27:01 AM
^You know you are old when you are starting to forget that.I remember being able to stop the pump on the exact dollar amount I wanted by simply easing up on how fast I was pumping gas.
3/12/2007 6:56:59 AM
The concept of this thread is absurd.but that's comming from someone who exclusively listens to sports/news talk radio exclusively since md-way through my teens.
3/12/2007 8:43:06 AM

3/12/2007 9:58:06 AM

2 things have made me feel old[er]:- all of the freshman look like 12 year olds- my bf's little brother's friends (who are 16-17) were amazed that i was old enough to have received a NES for xmas the year it came out, and that i played an atari all the time at a friend's house...they said, "whoa, you're old" [Edited on March 12, 2007 at 2:58 PM. 60 is supposed to be the new 40 when you start approaching that age. Hopefully can retire comfortably for 40 years at that age. Otherwise, you are as old as you feel.
3/12/2007 6:02:04 PM
I listen to a number of NPR podcasts on the commute every day.
3/12/2007 10:56:09 PM

I catch NPR sometimes on the road about when the radio goes out and I turn to the scan buttonif its a subject that interests me, I listen; if not, the scan keeps going.

I listen to NPR on the way to work in the morning, and whenever I'm tired of hearing the same 3-4 songs on the radio for the millionth time.
3/27/2007 10:55:55 AM
the benchmark test for getting old is watching the news and seeing that the local news anchors look like they just graduated high school. that happened the other day, and it sucked.
3/28/2007 10:11:43 AM
I was supposed to be on NPR yesterday...I should look into that.
3/28/2007 11:33:55 AM
yeah lemme know if you find an online bizzle of that. i totally forgot about it until last night.
3/28/2007 11:52:07 AM

market place is my favorite show. and for whatever reason lakshmi singh (sp?) annoys the hell out of me. she reminds me of trisha takanowa on family guy.

you're old when after listening to NPR for a couple of years to get a different viewpoint on issues than your own you abandon that crap and just stick to conservative talk radio[Edited on May 12, 2007 at 12:58 PM. Reason : wait, wait don't tell me is ok]
5/12/2007 12:54:50 PM
On my drive home to Raleigh on Fridays I will sometimes put it on Boortz just to hear the insanity and hatred that he spews and I tend to listen to Brad & Britt in the morning because they do a consistant amount of local coverage. I just can't stand all of the commercial breaks.
5/12/2007 3:59:11 PM
boortz is hillarious; he speaks the truth
5/13/2007 9:55:56 AM
I listen to NPR podcasts, namely "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," but it's mostly too liberal for me. My favorite is the BBC.
5/13/2007 10:14:29 AM
yea, NPR is pretty liberal. It's easy for me to disregard it because I'm liberal too. Wait wait pissed me off this weekend talking shit about Paris Hilton. The is a good person: her fucking alot is distasteful but it's her own choice and isn't harming anyone. That judge probably gave her jail time because Martha Stewart tolerated it like a cowardly BITCH. I hope Paris leaves the country or something like that.
5/14/2007 2:16:19 AM
the only people that tolerate comercial breaks are people with no alternative
5/14/2007 2:21:33 AM
^^She's going to jail because she violated her probation, twice. I'd be going to jail if I did what she did. She's an airhead. It's not that she thinks the rules don't apply to her, it's that she just doesn't think.
5/14/2007 11:37:41 PM
Set'em up!
