He's been keeping us afloat and is one clutch motherfucker. He's stepped up his game and his role with the team this year and without him, we'd be hopeless. Thanks for helping us win all year, and especially for our Carolina and ACC Tournament wins. Engin, you'll be missed.
3/10/2007 1:51:45 AM
id imagine we will get a quicker point guard after he's gone, i wont care too much when he leaves..and as for clutch, umm i can remember some jacked up airballs at the end of games in his history, so hes not that clutch[Edited on March 10, 2007 at 1:55 AM. Reason : not a lot]
3/10/2007 1:54:32 AM
Engin, you'll be missed.
3/10/2007 1:54:40 AM
A quicker point guard is easy to find. A smarter, more relaxed point guard, who helps corral and direct our excitement- and turnover-prone skill players? Not so much.[Edited on March 10, 2007 at 2:02 AM. Reason : 7]
3/10/2007 1:55:57 AM
^^^ This is all relative to our current season, of course. I'm not saying that Engin was the best guard we've seen in the past 10 years, but just that he's been instrumental to the success we've had this season.[Edited on March 10, 2007 at 1:56 AM. Reason : .]
3/10/2007 1:56:02 AM
yea hes held us together this year, but i know we can get a better pg, atsur was a herb pg, id like to see a lowe pg, how well they will develop and/or become
3/10/2007 1:56:52 AM
heartless, JTMONEYNCSU.i'll, for one, miss the guy.
3/10/2007 2:09:49 AM
hope he plays better vs vt. GO PULL A MACNAMERA!
3/10/2007 2:17:07 AM
we wouldnt have won 10 fucking games this year without engin atsur.NOT TEN!
3/10/2007 2:18:30 AM
what could of been if he hadnt pulled his Hammy
3/10/2007 2:37:09 AM
^ 8-8 in conference and being a serious bubble contender for the NCAA, and let's not forget, the first few games he was back he was at about 70%
3/10/2007 3:02:34 AM
kid is all heart, guts, and determinationyou can't teach thatgonna miss the hell out of him.
3/10/2007 3:05:11 AM
i found it amazing in the game on thursday how he could kinda jog around on offense and know exaclty where everyone was. so although he wasnt at full speed, he could slip right through for easy layups or assists.
3/10/2007 3:13:07 AM
He's a four year starter with above average intelligence.
3/10/2007 3:25:01 AM
he will add to Herb's Squad overseas
3/10/2007 3:33:52 AM

3/10/2007 11:00:37 AM

I think people were bitching about him taking the last shot of the game with 10seconds left and pretty much throwing up a prayer. A lot of that was our frustration with herb not being able to draw up a play in the closing seconds of a game.
3/10/2007 11:31:35 AM
^ precisely. Herb would have Atsu(dots)r catch the ball ~40 feet away from the goal, and with mere seconds left of course the D will double the ball and make you do something with it from that distance...I'm just happy he was able to have a mostly productive senior season; we REALLY felt the impact of him not being out there when he was hurt. I only wish that his replacement were here now, gleaning off of him.
3/10/2007 12:35:26 PM
lets win the acc tourny with him first. then take it to the ncaa, then we can say goodbye

signed.... The most classy guy in the ACC, and hes not bad on the eyes either

SandSanta > Atsur
3/10/2007 1:46:57 PM
3/10/2007 2:04:29 PM
i think the atsur of the past two years is the best pg in 10 years
3/10/2007 2:05:18 PM
^before engin..there was archie :-/. he was decent, hit the 3 and handled the ball, be def. no Atsur.
3/10/2007 2:06:59 PM
my gf had a class with him. apparently he's really nice and soft-spoken
3/10/2007 2:07:07 PM
3/10/2007 2:13:27 PM
Ya know, everyone slobs over a guy like javaris because of his speed. But what counts at the point is leadership and passing, and that is where Atsur is top shelf.

Archie was a hobbit. Engin has been great. Justin Gainey was good too in the past ten years though mind you.I think his junior year was better than his senior if I remember correctly.[Edited on March 10, 2007 at 9:23 PM. Reason : ]

wasn't everyone bitching about how much Atsur sucked last year?
3/11/2007 12:41:44 AM
your dumb ass probably was
3/11/2007 12:43:04 AM
umm barbecue
3/11/2007 1:03:29 AM
uh, Anthony Grundy?
3/11/2007 2:45:26 AM
AG was not a PG. he was a huge contributor and leader his senior year. major part of that team.Justin Gainey was a better PG than Atsur... but i can't think of a team player that has been more important than Atsur in the last 10-15 years. it is amazing how different our team is with Atsur compared to without him. MVP.
3/11/2007 3:20:02 AM
He has stepped up THIS year when we needed him, too. I think he has also shown as much desire and heart in the games he's been in this year as anyone else.
3/11/2007 5:54:25 AM
From your last ACC game. Thanks for the memories Engin. Good luck with wherever you go. GO PACK!
