So lets review. McCain's national numbers are slipping. In North Carolina he is 19(?) points down to Rudy and 9 points down to Newt in the last poll I saw.http://www.newsobserver.com/110/story/551591.htmlHe just got endorsed by a guy with slightly negative approval ratings. That is on top of his getting the help of both Ferrell Blount and Vinroot.Does McCain realize that it is 2007 or is he still under the impression it is 1999? Is McCain going to even be in the race by time the primaries roll around?

burr is such a fucking chode. an endorsement by him is a negative in my book.

what makes you think that NC is any kind of bellweather for the republican primary?

other than the combo of people like Jesse Helms on top of the new influx of Republicans from places like NJ and Michigan?Besides, this isnt about his poll numbers in NC so much as it is about the hilarity of his campaign thinking that people like Burr and Blount actually add something.

^^ hmm. i guess i dont know much about Burr, to be honest. i moved from NC before he was elected. Im gonna show my ignorance here, but I would think that, in the context of a republican primary, an endorsement from the republican US Senator, would be a net positive (however small) at least in that Senator's state.whats up with Burr that makes this not the case?

he has no clout within the senate and is incredibly unpopular. 6 months ago he was tied for 80th in terms of popularity of sitting senators.

I can't wait for the liddy dole endoresement.

he's a party shill and it's gotten him nothing.i looked up his votes a while back and this dude almost NEVER strays from the republican majority (it was like one time out of one hundred votes)at least dole occasionally strays from the party line.

when has she strayed?
3/10/2007 11:47:50 PM
why shoud I care? Nothing against Burr, but who cares? Do these kind of endorsements really swing any number of votes ever? I mean its not like Burr is the Pope or something.

^^i honestly don't remember, but a handful of times (not a lot, but notably more than burr)
