do I get rid of this "gamechannel" shit?

Apparently I picked it up somewhere on the web, and it's trying to crash my computer now.

Ran a spy scan with Uniblue Spy eraser (one of the free spy scans) and seems to be no dice.

I go to control panel and try add/remove programs and "gamechannel" doesn't show up there, only as an icon on my desktop. I removed a bunch of other games and shit that looked suspicious though.

Any experiences/ideas?

It looks like gamechannel is associated with Wild Tanget. You should be able to remove wild tanget from your add/remove programs list under the control panel. Once you've done this, I would download, update, and run Spybot: Search and Destroy. I know it identifies Wild Tanget and all its components.

It seems my ad-aware might have caught it. I ran a scan and it found 120 infected files, which I removed. I think I'll still DL and run spybot. I should have had it on here to begin with. Thanks for the help!
