My 10 year one is coming this summer. For those that have had one, how did it go?
3/8/2007 6:23:57 PM
Mine is this summer too.
3/8/2007 7:30:01 PM
i skipped mine.
3/8/2007 7:50:17 PM
I forgot to go to my 5-year. I'll get another chance in 3 years. Eh.
3/8/2007 8:34:39 PM
i got no invite if there was a 5 year.
3/8/2007 8:38:26 PM
I've never heard of anyone having a 5 year
3/8/2007 8:48:37 PM
i don't plan on going to mine. high school sucked
3/8/2007 9:06:57 PM
10 yr reunion comes up so fast... you're practially spending half of that time in college.
3/8/2007 9:12:57 PM
Unless you didn't go.like 60% of my grad class.
3/8/2007 9:36:59 PM
I'll probably go to mine. I'll run into a few people from high school almost every time I go home for Christmas or Thanksgiving and it would be cool to catch up with some people that I lost touch with.
3/8/2007 9:45:01 PM
Try myspace.I was shocked how many people I managed to track down.
3/8/2007 9:47:25 PM
^ or how many track you down
3/8/2007 10:13:56 PM
I haven't been to one yet. I still have another year to go but I can't believe it is that close
3/8/2007 10:40:56 PM
I wanted to go, but one of my frat brothers got married the same weekend.
3/8/2007 10:46:29 PM
not that we have them, but:
3/9/2007 4:38:43 AM
going to a HS reunion would be about the saddest most lame thing i can think of.all those hucklebucks who stay in their hometown, knock up Mary Jane Rottencrotch, and go work in a sock factory to support their 5 snotty semi-retarded kids.what the fuck you gonna have to say?"durr... i always thot u were hot. do u bwn?"
3/9/2007 4:42:55 AM
^I would use it as an opportunity for networking, but I haven't had one yet, so I'm speaking theoretically, and not from experience.
3/9/2007 5:10:04 AM
since i went to high school in bummblescump, the only networking i could hope for is to talk to the other 4 fully literate, non-religious nutball, successful people i graduated with. Of course i talk to 3 of them on a regular basis anyways. I am tempted to go to mine just to see what kinda train wrecks happened. I know at least one guy has been a fry cook at the burger joint since he was 16 (so 9 years now) and has like 4 kids with 3 differant hos, the first was conceived, at prom, in the bed of his pick-up
3/9/2007 9:24:10 AM
Hah. Ditto for me.
3/9/2007 9:31:15 AM
cain's on pointthe only reason to go is for the stories of how badly people you knew messed up their lives.and to see how fat or tanning bed scarred the "hot" girls in HS have becomegirls that peak before 20 dont hold up welli plan on going, and doing a ton of pointing and laughing
3/9/2007 9:31:34 AM
LOOKIN GOOD MOOSE!
3/9/2007 9:47:07 AM
pretty much. I've also be linked porn from at least 2 of the girls i graduate with, i am gonna have so much fun ripping on people in 3 years
3/9/2007 10:01:53 AM
^^&^hahahaquestion. Mine is coming up next year. Is it typical to bring your wife/kids to these functions?I went to my 5 year, and it was just an all out booze fest. I imagine the 10 year will be similar, but without the sex and drugs.[Edited on March 9, 2007 at 10:03 AM. Reason : asdf]
3/9/2007 10:03:09 AM
if i am married/in a serious relationship i will take the woman. As for kids, see if you can get ahold of whoever is planning it and see if there will be anything for you kids to do there
3/9/2007 10:05:05 AM
noooooooooooooooooooooooooo High School was akward enough.10 years later- ew
3/9/2007 10:15:52 AM
This thread reeks of people who are still harboring issues from being picked on in high school. I can think of several people that I used to chill with in highschool who own successful businesses or have good careers. It will be cool to see some of these people and catch up with them even though we obviously didn't make the effort to stay in touch after highschool.[Edited on March 9, 2007 at 12:12 PM. Reason : s]

I did but didn't want to go to my 10 year, but boy was I glad that I did. Not only did I get back in touch with many of my friends from HS, but it was amazing to see how people ended up. And for the most part I can agree with the comment about girls that peak before they're 20. A couple were still bombshells, and the others... wow, it's been a rough 10 years. I did actually do some networking, and for the most part everybody was really cool. People who I wasn't that close with in HS actually came up and talking. It was amazing how much everybody has grown up and let go of the shit in the past. In the end we all had a great time, and relived old memories, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We're all actually really looking forward to the 15 or 20 year.

Like a 20th or 50th maybe. But 10 years, come on, way too soon
3/9/2007 12:52:11 PM
I don't hang out with my actual friends that much, so why would I want to go and see a bunch of people who I couldn't care less about?
3/9/2007 1:00:54 PM
3/9/2007 1:17:12 PM
Not going to any of mine. I am one of the only people in "the crew" who did not get preggers or married. I dont want to spend an entire night looking at ugly baby photos.[Edited on March 9, 2007 at 4:09 PM. Reason : ...]

I had a 5 year, skipped that one, way way way too soon. 10 years alot of time has passed and at least you get to see what they have made of themselves
3/9/2007 5:42:33 PM
i've never heard of 5 year reunions. seems pretty pointless to me. i mean, if you went to college, you'd barely be out of undergrad and most likely still unsure of your career. not much changes 5 years out of high school
3/10/2007 5:03:50 PM
we had a 5 year, and it was pretty much an all night party
3/10/2007 10:41:40 PM
it went a little like this http://www.newsobserver.com/102/story/465980.html(btw, my graduating class also made it into businessweek a decade back)
3/11/2007 11:28:28 AM
Never been.....never will ....who cares
3/18/2007 8:20:15 PM
I wouldn't be able to keep myself from walking up to people and saying, "You were a complete douchebag in high school."
3/19/2007 7:53:58 AM
MY 10 YR IS THIS SUMMER IN PA.....ITS GOING TO BE A HUGE BOOZE FEST...I CAN ALREADY SEE THE DRAMA GOING DOWN......I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!
3/19/2007 8:48:51 AM
^^why stop yourself? Go for it!

2010*PHEW* It still sounds a ways off...
3/19/2007 6:41:21 PM
so if you only keep intouch with like one person from your class, and did really hang with the "in" crowd, how the fuck do they find you to tell you when and where the reunion is? i mean i konw about classmates.com, but still, not everyone is on there[Edited on March 19, 2007 at 7:06 PM. FacebookMyspaceuhm...*shrug*Good question. I'm rapidly in danger of being in touch with zero people from my class. I'll be interested to see OS' answer...
3/19/2007 7:15:25 PM
I suspect that the same people that the people that track you down for HS reunions are the same people that are in charge of running the HS alumni association. The potential for getting donations is quite a good motivator for them to track you down...
3/19/2007 8:19:30 PM
High school alumni association? WTF is that shit?
3/19/2007 8:54:28 PM
I can't wait for mineall the bitches gonna be on my balls
3/19/2007 9:04:35 PM
Pretty sure it's the responsibility of the class president to organize the reunions.
