I don't think he's "not right in the head." His family claims he's a normal, nice guy who "changes" into this new guy, who happens to be a violent hater of Americans and Jews...LOL.He's obviously guilty. And the only reason for pleading not guilty is to get the excitement and attention of the spectacle of a trial. I doubt he'll get off on the insanity defense. (People are getting tired of that shit.)[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 11:43 AM. Reason : sss]

Just cause one person actually drives his car through the pit at UNC and tries to run people over he is crazy??? I believe any mentally stable person thinks that idea up atleast once a day.
3/6/2007 11:44:57 AM
muslims like this dude are mentally unstable.
3/6/2007 11:47:52 AM
Are we getting to the point of complete denial of the threat to this country? Radical islam, the enemy who hates us and wants us dead, just needs a little professional psychiatric care?
3/6/2007 11:54:07 AM
^exactly...maybe he had his feelings hurt once as a child...therefore we should coddle him in every way possiblefuck all that "be responsible for your own actions" garbage
3/6/2007 11:54:50 AM
It's not just "radical Islam." It is Islam.

but anywayshouldnt his act of driving an SUV into a crowded gathering place / group of people and his comments about hating and wanting all Americans and Jews dead be sufficient evaluation of his sanity? Or at least his responsibility[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 12:00 PM. Reason : .]

He's clearly fucked up...at the same time, I don't have a lot of a problem with him being in prison.
3/6/2007 12:02:33 PM
I don't have a problem with him being in prison either...I think they should lock him up
3/6/2007 12:08:04 PM
send him to gitmo for some "treatment"
3/6/2007 12:12:59 PM
So what's the rule on insanity in NC? Does he just have to be crazy or does he also have to know right from wrong?Cause I'm betting he knew right from wrong and did it anyway, which is what differentiates him from the rest of us who have ever fantasized about terrorizing others (I fantasize about running cars off the road.)
3/6/2007 12:13:49 PM
This guy's "craziness" is starting to make me feel......normal
3/6/2007 12:40:07 PM
I think people should curse more in court.

I actually watched this really cool thing on CSPAN early one morning where the folks at Gallup had a conference on their findings about the differences between high-conflict Muslims and no-conflict Muslims. Thy focused on Muslims, but they really didn't find any connection between Islam and terrorism. In fact, the high-conflict group is actually less devout than the no-conflict group. High-conflict group had more wealth than the no-conflict group so, while others were watching after their basic needs, the high-conflict group has the time to get together and discuss the things they're unhappy with. Both groups said they admired the freedoms we have in America. And the biggest complaint of both groups is that they feel humiliated and disrespected that the West doesn't seem to take them seriously. Their sense of honor and desire to protect that honor is much stronger than ours. I mean, here in America, we have this idea of "laughing all the way to the bank." In other places, it's more of a "stop laughing at me!" type deal.

hahaSo Militant Muslimsare like the Columbine kids on a larger scale.I dig it.

FFS.HE DROVE AN SUV INTO A CROWD OF PEOPLE HOPING TO KILL THEM.THERE'S NO FIX FOR CRAZY/STUPID. EITHER LOCK HIM UP OR EXECUTE HIM.NEXT CASE.

^I bet the marines would've liked to go along with CSPAN when they were going to interview the "high-conflict" terrorists.

The problem comes when you have sociologists with pre-concieved agendas trying to interpret the statistics and responses from these polls.Nevertheless I would be interested in seeing what the poll asked and the responses.
3/6/2007 5:05:42 PM
Gallup was probably like "for the virgins in heaven" huh? i guess i can include that with the "social injustice" category?
3/6/2007 5:09:15 PM
gallup is SOOOO liberal.
3/6/2007 5:16:25 PM
that poll sounds SOOOOOOOO reliable
3/6/2007 5:22:05 PM
i didnt realize you were qualified to question the validity of a poll which was only mentioned, and about which you know zero actual details.
3/6/2007 5:39:20 PM
i didnt realize you were qualified to defend the validity of a poll which was only mentioned, and about which you know zero actual details.HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE VALIDITY OF A POLL THAT ADMITS TO QUESTIONING "TERRORIST MUSLIMS" AND "NON-TERRORIST MUSLIMS"THAT POLL IS SURELY A PRIME EXAMPLE OF STATISTICAL BRILLIANCEWHAT IN THE HELL GIVES YOU THE QUALIFICATIONS TO DARE QUESTION A POLL, HOW FUCKING DARE YOU![Edited on March 6, 2007 at 5:51 PM. prison
3/6/2007 7:05:52 PM
this guy is obviously guilty and should go to prison, and if you ask me, is trying to act insane in court so that he can get away with.but hey, if he does get away with it... it balances out with people being locked up without charge or trial and then suddenly being released after 5 years without explanation or apology.sometimes two worngs can make a right, i guess.

This guy tried to join my friend's fraternity at UNC. He was not religious in the least and they would not let him join because he was too coked out to be a frat guy.I do not think you can go from druggie to radical militant in less than 2 years. I guarantee he did too many drugs one night and fried his brain.
3/7/2007 11:33:20 AM
He does enjoy a good popped collar, I see.
