If we are given one of the top four seeds for the NCAA tournament, let's Give Coach Yow and the Lady Pack one of the largest crowds the Pack have had ALL Season. THe squad, and ESPECIALLY Coach Yow deserve it especially after the great fight they put on in the ACC Tournament... I challenge all NCSU students, fans, faculty and staff to fill up the RBC Center to capacity if we are given a #4 seed and allowed to play the first two rounds in Raleigh... We've supported the guys team all season with constant sell-outs..why not the Lady Pack.....and if not for them, do it for the Lady who we renamed court in Reynolds after.. GO PACK!!

i just hope she makes it man, she didnt look good at allimhopin shell be able to be at the game
3/4/2007 3:10:55 PM
I vote submit this to the front page.
3/4/2007 3:11:12 PM
I'm pretty sure it will be in reynolds. where did you get rbc center from?students still free?
3/4/2007 3:11:52 PM
^ the RBC Center has been advertising that they are hosting it either wayhttp://www.rbccenter.com/events/upcomingevents.asp?event_id=222&month=3&year=2007[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 3:12 PM. Reason : ]
3/4/2007 3:12:25 PM
I say have it in the RBC Center unless the Ladies would rather have it at home.SUBMIT THIS TO THE FRONT PAGE.
3/4/2007 3:13:43 PM
Didn't they get rid of hosting regionals for the top seeds like 3 years ago?
3/4/2007 3:14:20 PM
My bad Aristotle, I was thinking since it was the big dance they would want us playign in a larger seating capacity venue, even though the ladies play in Reynolds...someoen who knows for certain..correct me if Im wrong.....?? I dont care where in raleigh, I just want us to have a sell out to show the squad, all of the Lady Pack Bball trainers and staff, the team memebers...and COACH YOW..how much we appreciate her putting her condition on the back burner and coaching on the sidelines when she could be at home getting chemo treaments.. GO PACK.... and whatever date it is...I challenge all NCSU students to hold out your weekend partying until after the Lady pack's first NCAA tourney game, and drag that same spirit we have at Wolfpack football games to the Lady Pack NCAA tournament game in Raleigh(IF we get to host our first game).....
3/4/2007 3:15:09 PM
I agree, this should be on the front page of TWW they def deserve it
3/4/2007 3:16:23 PM
I'll be there.

Everyone should be back from Spring break, so what better way to say thanks to the players and Coach Yow....GO PACK... oh and that Game against Duke in the ACC Tournament...I havent enjoyed watching a basketball game taht much this season, since our guys beat UNC at home... Ill be there with a crowd of about 7 buds of mine... GO PACK!
3/4/2007 3:20:29 PM
I use to be in the Pep Band at NCSU when I was an undergrad and your wrong..lots of us gave a shit about our women's bball team...I mean theyve been playing lights out all season..why wouldnt we watch... and since the guys are in a rebuilding year..why not throw your support behind the girl's squad?
3/4/2007 3:22:20 PM
^^^ So I guess people can't post messages that other's don't agree with. The only reason anyone is excited about this shit is because of our coach. I would rather have a first round win in the real ACC tournament than 10 consecutive women's national championships.[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 3:25 PM. Reason : .]

I don't know if you're an alias or not, but you are a troll. I don't like trolls and won't tolerate that shit. Next question?

^^why not have both?[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 3:26 PM. Reason : ^^]
3/4/2007 3:26:26 PM
you were right wolfood. last year they changed it to be like the mens tourney. top 4 seeds used to play on their homecourt. the first 2 rounds then go to regionals.
3/4/2007 3:28:00 PM
3/4/2007 3:28:24 PM
^lol, that's good advice.
3/4/2007 3:29:27 PM

3/4/2007 3:30:25 PM
Getting back on topic Firecracker.....my point is "Lets fill up the seats when the Ladies play in the Big Dance....and make it so fucking deafnening in Reynolds or the RBC Center....that the otehr team craps themselves as soon as they step onto the court....GO PACK!!
3/4/2007 3:48:05 PM
so, most likely there will be the typical 100 fans at the game since it will not be in Raleigh?
3/4/2007 3:52:06 PM
If we're given a #4 seed it is HIGHLy likely, the first round of the NCAA Rd 1 and 2 will be in Raleigh, NC..!!
3/4/2007 3:52:59 PM
theres a 1st and 2nd round in raleigh no matter what, we are hosting it
3/4/2007 3:58:10 PM
^thanks for clarifying....I have a feeling we will sell out the coliseum no matter where the Pack is playing !! GO PACK!!
3/4/2007 4:13:03 PM
3/4/2007 4:53:13 PM
http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/womens/schedulesThe games will be at the RBC Center...
3/4/2007 5:11:44 PM
gad you guys act like you just started paying attn this yearwe have had games in the rbc center beforeof course it will be in the rbc, not reynoldsof course it is still a home game

^ He's talking about men's games.
3/4/2007 5:21:24 PM
if you were talking about me, no i wasntwe have had OUR women play HOME games at the RBC in the NCAA tourney
3/4/2007 5:27:18 PM
I was talking about the piece which was quoted and is now gone.
3/4/2007 5:55:29 PM
agree
3/4/2007 8:09:53 PM
I'll be there.when is selection day?
3/4/2007 9:29:10 PM
yeah there is a good chance we will be seeded to play at rbc centerstudents will have to pay unless something weird has changed...but I can't imagine it would be expensive, and after seeing the effort they put up in the ACC tourney, I'd say it will be well worth it. I know they didn't pull it out today, but they are playing some good basketball that seems to be riding on emotion right now
3/4/2007 9:53:51 PM
3/4/2007 10:01:37 PM
there is still a chance that unc will play in CH, duke will play in durham and we will play in raleigh[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 10:08 PM. Reason : a]
3/4/2007 10:05:59 PM
Damn, when is selection for the Big Dance for the Women's Tourney, is it before or after the Selction for the Mens Tourney? Go LADY PACK!!
3/4/2007 10:23:57 PM
never mind, its on monday[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 10:29 PM. Reason : ]
3/4/2007 10:27:13 PM
The women will be playing at the RBC, they don't have to be the #4 seed. If a school is hosting and their team makes it they are guaranteed to play at home.
3/4/2007 10:28:48 PM
^^^^you apparently dont understand how the tournament works. As previously stated, there is no longer a "Top 4 seeds host", but predetermined locations, except teams are allowed to play at home if things line up unlike in the mens tournament. The sites are Austin, Minneapolis, Stanford, Los Angeles, East Lansing, Hartford, Pittsburgh, and Raleigh (http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/womens/schedules). Duke will play in Raleigh, no question, but will UNC or State (impossible for all 3 to).^Ive heard its "very likely" a team hosting will play at home, but I doubt anyone has hosted while there were two potential #1 seeds right down the road before either.[Edited on March 4, 2007 at 10:33 PM. Reason : -]
3/4/2007 10:31:38 PM
3/4/2007 10:32:10 PM
They will be playing at home, and Duke will more than likely be the #1 seed at Raleigh. Everyone team that made it to the tournament last year and had been a predetermined site stayed at home. Then ESPN goes on about how unfair it is to some schools, blah, blah. It doesn't matter what # the women are, the media and the coaching staff have already stated how great it is that they don't have to travel for the 1st and 2nd round especially do to Yow's health.
3/4/2007 10:48:50 PM
This should end the debate on where NC State will play. From the Championship HandbooK, Principles Principles and Procedures for Establishing the BracketIf a team's institution is serving as a first and second round host, the team will be assigned to the instiution's site. http://www1.ncaa.org/membership/champadmin/basketball/d1_women/handbook/Principles_and_Procedures_for_Establishing_the_Bracket.pdf
3/4/2007 11:23:06 PM
^Thanks for finding that...I didnt see anything about it before, and I could easily see us getting screwed in favor of UNC and Dook. Very good to hear [Edited on March 5, 2007 at 6:55 AM. Reason : -]
