^^ i dont have access and i think that is suspension worthy, but a good pick up for the pack.there is recruit thread but i think this deserves its own

3/2/2007 2:21:08 PM
that is a huge pick-up at this point in recruiting, and all i gotta say is that if sidney lowe and monte towe like a point guard, he must be pretty good
3/2/2007 2:23:30 PM
...or we just realized Atsur played his last home game, and we are desperate as hell. thats not the case though.GO PACK!
3/2/2007 2:24:37 PM
i think it says alot that he's been bumped up from a 2 start to a 3 star...shows he's improved this season i guess
3/2/2007 2:26:43 PM
http://www.hoop-rap.com/news/newsview.php?getstory=959from another thread....says he is miami-dade POY, i think that also says alot w/ all the talent in miami these days

Awesome, Awesome news. Everyone kepy saying that we needed a true 1, and now we have it.And 2 young backup PGs with a little experience also.Kickass Sid.
3/2/2007 2:34:19 PM
I think Javi was averaging only 13.8 ppg, 4.3 ast, and 5.2 steals his junior year. He's improved a lot. He's been filling it up this year though. Scored 26 in a play-off game I think, and has been scoring high like that a fair amount this season. Hopefully that translates to a nice solid 10 ppg, 4 ast, and 3 steals while he's here. We don't need him to come in here and be our main scorer, though it'd be nice to have a PG that can score at will. We'll have plenty of guys that can score (McCauley, Costner, Grant, Fells, and probably Hickson and Smith). We mainly just need a pair of guards that can take care of the ball, get these guys the ball, and have a high assist to turnover ratio.

COULD SOMEONE PM ME THE PP ARTICLEthanks

3/2/2007 2:37:45 PM
^^^pretty much. i think this season has stressed the importance of having capable ball handlers on your team. not just our team, but look at Virginia and their success which is mainly due to Reynolds and Singletary. hopefully Degand and Gonzalez can be the reliable ball handlers that we need.[Edited on March 2, 2007 at 2:38 PM. ^^or Diaz at Miami ^52% FG% is solid as hell for a point guard[Edited on March 2, 2007 at 2:42 PM. Reason : .]
3/2/2007 2:41:56 PM
Oh HELL yes! If Sid can keep this up and get rid of our inconsistancy, we could have a serious upset of power in the ACC. The rise of the Wolfpack?
3/2/2007 2:43:41 PM
Sid is srs bsns
3/2/2007 2:46:01 PM
As long as it means Gaving wont be dancing up the court ready to turn it over very much next year - yessssssssLet him drive, drunk, shoot, and rebound iwithout playing point. Then we will see him put up better numbers.Does the PP article say anything about him not visiting his other schools of interest now?
3/2/2007 2:47:02 PM
3/2/2007 2:53:42 PM
hallelujah. i'm really excited about this guy. and about the entire class. hopefully tracy smith makes it. even if he doesn't, we're gonna be solid. hopefully we can say goodbye to those 20+ turnovers a game now with these ball handlers.what a class sid![Edited on March 2, 2007 at 2:55 PM. 3/2/2007 3:00:09 PM

I think I've been watching too much of the National Geographic Channel.
3/2/2007 3:02:41 PM
If everyone comes that is suppose to, then someone will have to drop a scholly or leave. Makes me wonder who's gonna do what.
3/2/2007 3:20:21 PM
3/2/2007 3:27:27 PM

3/2/2007 5:13:47 PM
Good pickup. Its like QB in football, now we have 3 prospects competing for the PG job next year: Degand, Johnson, and Javi now. Hopefully they can all contribute.
3/2/2007 5:16:15 PM
javy is a pass-first pg that will be able to get the ball to our key players. i read that he played on a team with OJ mayo and OJ played the 2 and let javy run point.
3/2/2007 6:52:06 PM
its going to be so nice having players in their natural position
