I'm running out of ideas guys! The threads for dates are all great but I've done all the things I think she'd like that can be done at night. The museum closes at 9pm, rose gardens aren't in bloom, plays aren't her thing and bars and pool don't suit either of us.

Movies are over done. I'm thinking a bike ride but I'm not sure of a good place besides Lake Johnson that would be good that's open. Does Meredith still close off the path?

Ladies I could use your help here. I've cook for her often and plan to keep that trend up but what do we do after we eat. Dinner and a movie gets old over time.

Thanks!

we did a lot of hiking out at umstead, it's really nice there. there are bike trails too, but we never tried that so i can't vouch for those. of course umstead closes at sunset so that doesn't help much.

umm...you could hang out at REI until 9ish. lol

sorry, we looked for the same kinda stuff to do while we were in school/in raleigh, but never found it.

why can't you two just stay at home and enjoy each other's company

or are both of you that boring that you constantly have to be occupied with an activity

NCSUGimp we can stay at home but that gets old after a while. Trying to generate ideas. She lives in durham and I in Raleigh so nighttime is only option during the week.

Hot air balloon is a great idea.

You could also go hiking in the mountains or plan a picnic at Lake Jordan(?).

frisbee golf off kaplan, go running or canoeing, plan a camping trip.

Late nite drive to nowhere in particular, discover some new place together while you're at it.

I don't know if laser tag is good for a date since sticking together is asking to get shot.

best ones i've seen:
- frisbee golf (it can get addicting which could lead to several date nights there)
- putt putt
- when it gets warm, take her fishing

Find a field somewhere away from the city. Buy a stargazer and look at the constellations on a clear night.

spelling bee at bickett gallery, usually 1x/month. You get a beer for each word spelled correctly. It's fun. Last time the category was "words that make you smile because you're a dirty pervert"

Shelley Lake

parking is minimal which sucks, but they have several miles of paved trails plus some paths off the side. There are picnic tables around the edge of the lake as well as a boathouse and a bridge with nice views of the water and the obligatory waterfowl There's also a large field where you could ... play soccer ... ? ... but bring a blanket, because there are a lot of ducks/geese and while they don't hang out on that side usually I wouldn't want to chance accidentally laying/sitting down on bird shit

stay at home, but don't just watch TV. Play monopoly or something. If it doesn't keep both of you amused/happy...dump her.

Scratch that. Mushroom stamp her, then she will do the dumping for you.

I went in the fall in Winston Salem and it was $350 for a one hour ride... about 3 hours total with the preparing the balloon and packing up. It was def. worth it though but dont know if we would do it more than once.

picnic on the abandoned overpass over I-40. on a clear night, its far enough away to see stars, and its fun to watch highway traffic at night.

take her to the observation deck at RDU. its really great at night when the runways/taxiways are all lit up and you can see planes flying in from the distance, watch them land, taxi in, etc. Plus, they have the communication between the tower and the planes pumped over speakers so you can hear what's happening
Pretty neat and my gf liked it
