Our dryer caught fire in my apt yesterday. (I wasn't here) The firemen used 4 extinguishers to put it out. If any of you have ever used a fire extinguisher you know that that shit has an uncanny propensity to get EVERYWHERE! Even more than I'd imagined. I slept in my sheets last night not even realizing that there was that fine white powder everywhere. There's supposed to be a professional cleaning crew coming Monday. In the mean time none of us feel good... we've separately had symptoms of nausea, headache, fatigue, and mild repertory distress. With each one of us there are other possible causes, but I'm wondering if this is the common denominator. Any insights?

our building duct are clogged, so i eventually just unhooked the pipe out the back and let the gryer blow into the closet. It makes our apt hot and humid as fuck, but the time to dry one load went from 3 hours to 1.

they have these little bucket things you can get at lowe's. you put a small amount of water in them and then hook the dryer hose to them. drying time decreases dramatically.

Depends, some have BC powder (baking soda) and others have ABC powder (look it up on wikipedia if you want.)

The second kind CAN have respiratory side effects, but mostly it would just aggravate existing conditions. If you're suffering from a chest cold or effected by black mold in the air system, it'd make you feel extra shitty.

Personally, I've just had a mild headache.

Whatever it is one of the firemen told my roommate to have a professional clean his recording equipment, that whatever it was is corrosive.

Yeah, any base is corrosive- even baking soda.
