Is there any (legal) way to get antibiotics without seeing a doctor? I can't afford a doctor. I just need some antibiotics.

Why the hell do I need a doctor to tell me I'm sick? I think I can figure that out for myself. And it's not like erythromycin is dangerous.

about 2 out of 3 docs at student health will give you antibiotics on a just in case basis any time you go in sick... atleast thats how it was the last 4 academic years when i was there

you don't need antibiotics if you haven't seen a doctor.

i wish someone would tell all these doctors that they wasted their time and money going to school for all those years...i mean, we can just diagnose ourselves!

seriously, you're an idiot, but go ahead, you'll probably stop the antibiotics short and build up antibiotic-resistant bacteria and die

they have changed their policy now

you would pretty much have to walk in there with a limb hanging off or a piece of metal in your body to get anitbiotics

what are your symptoms? If you have a cold, antibiotics wouldn't help.

^exactly...dude what are you thinking? If you can't afford to goto the doc then you don't need the antibiotics. If you felt bad enough to actually think you needed a doc then you would go! You prolly have the flu or some damn cold that you can buy some OTCs to mask the symptoms until you are better ffs.

i went to student health the other day and was in there for less then five minutes and the doc gave me antibiotics. i already knew i had a sinus infection, so i just described all my symptoms and she looked in my ears and my throat and gave me antibiotics.

gotta love the self-prescribing fools that think they know medicine. like 93formula said, the reason docs aren't handing antibiotics out like candy anymore is because people don't take their full fucking course...they stop when they feel better (subclinical levels of bacteria still in their bodies), the small population of resistant bugs build up, they get sick again, pass it to someone else, and boom we have a community full of drug-resistant infections. thanks!
