No I am not the recruiter, I was looking for a friend for full time positions and stumbled across it. I am an engineer there.

^Yeah me too. We have lots of old guys out there. Something like over 50% of our workforce will be retirement age within 10 years. Knowledge transfer takes time. Typicially over the last couple of years they have hired the summer interns or at least offered them full time jobs upon graduating. Benefits are awesome. M-TH 7-5:30 is what most people work out there, I'm pretty sure interns do that as well. Huntersville is just 5 minutes from the McGuire and charlotte is anywhere from 15-45 min depending on where you live. I do not know if they pay for apartments for summer interns but it may be worth asking. I don't know how close Catawba and Oconee are from civilization.

worked there last summer as environmental engineer and one of my good friends worked at oconee.its ok but the nuclear program (includes mechanical and other engineerings) is probably the best. They also hire a lot of IT and HR interns.^Oconee is in the middle of nowhere and I think Catawba pretty much is too.[Edited on February 13, 2007 at 2:27 PM. Reason : oconee]
