same here, pilgrimshoes. my grandma started emailing me offering me money when i was bitching on my blog back in az about how my camera sucked so the pictures sucked. hahaha so i stopped posting anything there that i wouldnt want my grandma to read. although the tagline on her email is hilarious.

my problem came from my only real way to tell my friends and get traffic was a link through AIM profile.

well, when my whole family started picking up aim, grandparents included, they stumbled upon it quickly.

questions were asked, didnt feel like explaining myself about some of the vulgarities and interesting acts included in said blog, so i just removed it.

my lifestyle i think came as a bit of a shock to a very, very, very conservative tradionalist small town set of grandparents from rural kentucky.

My grandparents were Southern Baptist missionaries in Africa for 25 years.

Just telling my family that I was moving in with my bf shaved years off of several of their lives (some, I don't care too much).

Blogs, YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, and yes 90% of TWW are the epitome of narcicissm. I don't have a blog, I don't have any videos on YouTube, I don't have a real MySpace page (I have a logon with a name) and I don't have Facebook because I'm well aware of the fact that 99.9% of this world doesn't give a shit about what I have to say. I'm moderately surprised that any of you are even reading this now. Anyway that’s my little misanthropic outburst for the day.

Although, i will say that some people only do it as a documentation of different points in their lives, and not so much for others to read about. i agree with this too.

I know they're not always about the person writing them, I just think a lot of people over-estimate other people's willingness to hear them blather on about whatever they want to write about.

Some are legitimately interesting, well written, and informative / humerous, you're right. A lot of none of the above. They have their value, I don't doubt that . . . like I said, it was just my little misanthropic outburst for the day.
